Todo delicioso

Tiene pocas opciones, pero las pocas opciones que tiene están buenísimas. Pedimos el risotto de mango y la sopa, de las mejores sopas que hemos probado.

Cons: Poca variedad

Pleasant Surprise!

We stayed at The Bubbles right down the road from Mika. When we were checking in the owner asked where we were eating dinner. Some how I had missed Mika when researching and we were planning to drive 30 minutes to another restaurant. At her suggestion we chose Mika instead. She even called and made a reservation for us!

I had the mango risotto. It was such a surprise because I normally wouldn’t have thought to put mango, risotto, and savory vegetables together but it was so yummy! Looking through other reviews it seems the serving size changes a little from day to day. Some are topped with a lot of veggies or, like mine, it is fewer. Either way, I was very pleased with my meal. It was also so fun to pick out some chocolates to take back to the bubble and eat. The passion fruit and mango vegan was so yummy! I was expecting it to be more of a creamy or truffle like filling but it was kind of saucy on the inside. I really like it!

Pros: Lots of seating, Quick and friendly service , Vegan homemade chocolates!

Nice to have some vegan options

They have four vegan options: soup, salad, risotto (which is the vegan meal of day), and a possibility to make your own pizza with vegan cheese.
I had the pizza and it was really good!
Quite expensive, but for Iceland, that's expected.

Seems to be always the same dish

Nice restaurant, chic atmosphere. They sell chocolate which is made by their own (not vegan).
The menu says to ask the waiter about the vegan dishes (no price is marked). So we ordered and the dish was a vegetable risotto.

Taste was good, nothing to moan.
Price was 4295ISK (29€), think its a little pricey, but seems to be ok for icelandic standard and a touristic area.

Pros: Good taste

Cons: Little pricey

Bland - but nice to have the option

From previous pictures it's obviously the same bland and boring risotto with vegetables that they have served as "vegan meal of the day" for at least a year. However, in an area with very limited options, it's nice that they try.

Limited options

Initially wanted to go to the tomato-farm nearby, but it was completely full. Since there weren’t many options around, I ended up here.

I went for the vegan dish of the day. The rice was slightly overcooked but all in all, the dish was fulfilling.

Unfortunately, not that many vegan options, but I didn’t expect it either.

Pros: Good service, Some craft beer on the menu

Cons: Expensive , Limited plant-based options

Great food in the sun.

They have a vegan dish which you have to ask the waiter. It was a veggie risotto with a fruity ginger sauce. It was wonderful! They also have a vegan soup.

Pros: Friendly staff, Outdoor seating , Great food

Cons: Only one vegan main
