Great vibe!

This place is very cool. The layout is stylish, and the food is affordable and delicious. They make great coffees, chai, smoothies, you name it. And their brunch on the weekend is quite tasty...and a better price than some other vegan brunch places. When I went we got yummy tuscan scrambled tofu, toast, and tempeh bacon (for 8$!). Their sandwiches, bowls, and desserts are very good too.

They supposedly have music every night but I only go during the day. It's a great place to read, work, or catch up with friends. They even have a kid's area :)

Pros: Great prices, Nice variety, Beautiful space

Cons: only 1 table outside, Some staff appear grumpy

Charming Experience

Was visiting Montreal and came across this place. It is very spacious and has the charm of humble beginnings. Had the chance to meet one of the owners which was great - shared his story about his love of music and vegetarian/vegan food and how the Resonance Cafe came to be. I had the Chiliguacamole (only $8) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Served on wild grain rice, the chili is really tasty and savory. The guacamole on top was fresh and married perfectly with the dish. Had a bit of my sister's "Soup of the Day" which was a vegan clam corn chowder and was hearty and nice - was a bit under-seasoned however a bit of salt did the trick. We then had the Banana Bread ($2.5) which was also vegan and awesome! Didn't have the chance to listen to live music - definitely going to come back to enjoy some good vegan food and music the next time I'm in Montreal. Spacious, charming, affordable and homey.

Pros: charming, hearty food, music vibe
