Both my husband and I were a bit disappointed with the pizza at Red Brick. You pay a pretty hefty extra charge ($3, which is more than most restaurants charge for their 'fancy meats') for vegan cheese, and then of course also for toppings. We loaded ours with 4 veggies each, and both our pizzas looked pretty empty when we picked them up.
They taste good, the crust is nice and thin and fairly authentic, but the basil my husband ordered on his was barely visible, with 4 little leaves across his entire large pizza, and I averaged 3 small, chopped pieces of mushroom per slice. While it was tasty, I don't think we'll go again.
Bad pizza just go to wholefoods or mellow mushroom - Edit
Pizza is horrible. I opted for the the non dairy cheese and was charge upwards of 3 dollars, the small pizza cost 9 dollar which include regular cheese. The manager Iliyan refused to discount the price of the pizza for the cheese that i didn’t consume. I feel like I was robbed at this place. On top of that they got my order wrong I was missing basil so I asked for it to be remade and, when I got it back my mushrooms were not cooked and it seemed like they just threw them on. I just hope they didn’t spit on it, wouldn’t be surprised if they did.I was also asked if owned a business. Which I don’t but it seems only fair to not charge extra if your not going to discount the price of the regular cheese. If you want returning customers you need to make sure your policy is fair and not stealing- or at least make it known.Being transparent will take your business a long way! And I also gave them a tip before I had realized I’ve been screwed!
It's a lifesaver in seafood-infested Florida. That said, the menu makes no mention of vegan options, besides a tiny note informing customers that dairy free cheese is available. I had to ask twice to clarify that the gluten free crust was the vegan crust as well.
The pizza was good, but small, and even I, a mildly hungry 125 lb teenager could finish it.
It was expensive as hell! A gluten free/vegan crust is $2 extra. All said and done, my pizza was $15! To me, that's extravagantly expensive for a single mediocre meal.
I'm glad I found this, but given another option, I would not eat here again.
Stumbled across this absolute gem while staying in Destin for two weeks on work. After splurging at the Mellow Mushroom, I was shocked to see another vegan pizza place in such a small town.
The staff was very friendly, immediately knew what items were vegan, and made me feel confident that what I was getting was truly vegan. I ordered a simple vegan pie as usual. In an effort to recognize my biases, I pretty much love all the pizza. This pizza was 9/10 would eat every other day. I went back probably four or five more times.
The decor is pretty outdated and not very sharp looking, but if you really just want some dang vegan pizza that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg, this is the place for you! I was super thrilled to find this place wandering around Destin Commons.
