nice curry, nice pakora - Edit
had two veggie curries, both really good. the vegan naan was also nice. we shared some pakora as a starter - you need to state you're vegan, we had some paneer pakora as well.

A Diamond in the Rough - Edit
The place is great. Tucked away just around the corner of one of the main zocalos in Oaxaca. It's a palate-cleanser, cuisine-wise, when in Mexico—plenty of vegan options, clearly labeled. The owner is a sweetheart. Was very attentive and made sure we were good with the spice levels on our entrees. Portions are well-sized for the price point. Given the sheer logistics on how to get all the spices into Oaxaca to make authentic Indian food. I would say this place is a true gem. Glad we came.

Great experience - Edit
The owner was so lovely and accommodating, it is clear that he cares a lot about his food and what he does. Vegan options are clearly labeled and there are lots of them! We shared the vegan thali which was not on the regular menu but a good way to try a few different dishes, plus vegan naan and rice! The food was absolutely incredible, some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time!

Hidden Gem in Oaxaca! - Edit
We needed a switch from Mexican cuisine and went to Red Indian Chilli. It has a small seating area but it’s big on flavour! We ordered a variety of dishes and were stuffed at the end. Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options and just enough spice to clean your sinuses.
Read moreNo alcoholic beverages offered but I ordered the chai masala tea and my wife had the mango shake. Reminded us of our trip to India in 2024.
Friendly service, good portions and excellent tasty cuisine!
I highly recommend this little gem in Oaxaca!

Great Indian Food - Edit
The owner is Indian (and super friendly) and uses only real Indian ingredients and spices. We have been here twice so far. The first time we ordered aloo mutter, dal tadka, rice and vegan naan. All super tasty! The second time we ordered a vegan tali (which is so nice because you can taste a few different curries) and some dal tadka. Again so good!
Read moreThe restaurant felt a bit hidden away, but it has a nice Indian vibe to it (especially because the tv with Indian music videos on play).
The prices are a bit higher than other restaurants but it is definitely worth it.
Would go again!

If you are tired of mexican food, then this ist the spot to go to in Oaxaca. Several vegan options are available, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They also checked If the spicyness was alright. Portion could be a bit bigger.

Quite alright - Edit
Loved the fact that they had several vegan dishes on their menu. I went for the Aloo Mutter with Basmati Rice. It was quite busy so took a while until the food was ready. Staff was nice and helpful. They even checked and asked if the spiceness level was alright? Overall food was OK. Would go there again but nothing special.

Amazing vegan/ Indian restaurant in heart of Oaxaca - Edit
I am native Indian living in USA and can vouch I had the best vegan indian food in Mexico.. the best part they have huge vegan and vegetarian options 😍..i was walking around Zócalo and never thought an Indian restaurant can be here in Oaxaca where I hardly see one indian walking around. For my surprise they made the best meal for me and my wife also they did ask about our spice level preference and any allergies.. impressive!!! I found it resonable considering they are importing spices and chef from india to serve the best Indian food so far from India. Our full meal cost was around 25 usd which I found is very reasonable considering I got my home meal so far from home 😇👌

Clearly Labeled - Edit
This family was so kind and welcoming. The menu is large with a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. I got the Jeera Aloo, samosas, and lentil dal soup. I would order it all again, except the samosas which were just too oily for me. Their special house lemonade tastes like cucumber and is so refreshing!

Loved the thali! - Edit
I've eaten lots of Indian food all around the world. This was awesome in comparison with other Indian restaurants in Mexico, and pretty decent overall.
Read moreThey have a vegan thali, but it's not on the menu; ask for it. It's 300 pesos, so not cheap. They also have a vegan rose water-based beverage which was awesome.(I forget the name).
Staff is friendly (their English is better than their Spanish), location is decent, menu of vegan and vegetarian items is extensive. I will eat here again!
Pros: Vegan thali, Rose water-based beverage, Friendly staff
