Great little find - Edit
I was a bit shocked to read some of the other reviews. Raw Energy don’t state anywhere that they are a FULL vegan restaurant. They do state that they serve both Vegans, Vegetarians and Carnivores so I see nothing misleading anywhere and I had looked at the menu online before I even went. Although I can understand the confusion with the business name being “Raw Energy” however I also know a lot of businesses start out with a particular model and as with any business they grow and evolve. I’m grateful they aren’t just Raw and have a lovely broad selection for everyone.
Read moreI have been sitting here (just finished eating at their venue) for over an hour now and must say, what a popular place. All the neighbouring venues are pretty much empty and this place is fairly busy and has a constant flow of customers.
Trendy cafe, comfortable seating options & solid furniture in a clean environment opposite the ocean.
I ordered the Vegan Gluten Free Fritters and a Raw Energy Smoothy at 1:31pm, received my smoothy at 1:33 & my meal at 1:43 which I think is rather prompt and efficient especially since they are so busy. The smoothy was cold, had no lumps, was blended proficiently & had the right ratios. The Fritters were moist with a hint of spicy flavours which mixed absolutely beautifully with the Salsa and Avocado.
Looking forward to having breakfast here tomorrow and trying another dish. I would give 5 stars however Happy Cow wont allow me to as Raw Energy isn’t a “Full vegan” place however that meal and service deserves the highest rating I can give.
Pros: Decently sized meals, Hot and Filling meals , Gluten Free AND Vegan options
Cons: Struggling to think of anything. , If I absolutely had to nitpick ....., I suppose recyclable cutlery & cups for takeaway

unfortunately there's no such things as -5 stars - Edit
Went there today with a friend for lunch. Name was somewhat misleading as they didn't actually have many raw options but hey. Wasn't overly hungry so I got the peanut butter cup. Been told it was raw but fairly certain it was literally just made of Skippy peanut butter which was standing at the counter and which I wouldn't classify as raw in the slightest. But at least it was peanut butter? My friend ordered the only vegan main which was something like quinoa fritters with some sides. After eating most of the dish my friend found this random dodgy looking piece which turned out to be bacon?!? At the counter we were told that apparently the order had been the vegan main and extra bacon .... yeah right. I don't think a refund makes up for that at all. Don't go there.

Tasty food - Edit
Great juices.! They have good vegan and vegetarian food options. Had a Vegan Quinoa, Kale and Sweet potato burger. My favourite. The food is always consistently tasty and freshly made. Will continue to return.

Find it hard to believe that any vegan finds this place tolerable.

Not any more. so this review is no longer relevant. Coolangatta has 2 top notch vegan food outlets now. And this isn't one of them.

Not the best... - Edit
I recently went to Raw Energy and was disappointed to see that some food was not raw and with a name including "raw", it was a bit misleading. I tried one of their 'raw' cakes... it appeared to be raw but was disgusting, while a friend tried a lentil thing which was ok. I will not return. Furthermore, the staff appear quite dirty. One girl was putting cutlery away and was coughing all over place while doing so.

What's was that? - Edit
To my question "Is your juice organic?" the answer is "What do you mean by organic?.. We make it fresh here." Oops. Next question. "Is you dressing vegan?" - " We make it in the house. "Is your "Raw salad really "raw". (ingredients list chicken, tuna, ham, grilled veg. etc.) "Oh, it's just the name".
Read moreI see says I and order a side salad, the only trustworthy choice for a raw vegan at the place.
Cons: stuff ignorance
