Family-run vegetarian eatery where you order a la carte or choose from buffet of different veggies and soy meat dishes, rice, and noodle dishes. Located in small alley in old town that is difficult to find - it's between Le Loi and Hai Ba Trung: take the alley mid-block to the south, toward the river, from Phan Chu Trinh for 30 meters and find the restaurant on the right. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-9:00pm. Last order 8.30PM.

delicious buffet - Edit
Delicious local eatery on a side street. We ate here 3 times on our trip and they always had different dishes and soups. Big buffet of vegan meats and gluten style dishes plus soups. Costs 20,000-30,000 dong depending how much you pile on. Was delicious the first two times we went there, but the third time was in between meal times approx 3pm, a lot of the dishes had run out and what was there was cold and had been sitting for awhile. Best to go at meal times

A hidden gem that's not too hidden - Edit
On a quaint alley in the midst of the bustling old town of Hoi An you will find a delightful place.
Read moreThe staff are welcoming and friendly. Gave me some recommendations - Cao Lau & Steamed Bun. Absolutely mouth watering.
Very reasonable pricing too.
Thank you for a delicious meal. I wish I was staying longer to have more.
Be careful of the motorbikes down this path lol

Wonderful! - Edit
A very cosy place with delicious vegan food. We went for a buffet to try out different dishes, but the individual dishes that we saw people order also looked very very good. Vegan banana cake was fantastic. The balcony upstairs has a nice view over the rooftops.

It’s all that! - Edit
Everything they’re saying is true. Dont miss this spot. Delicious, authentic and fully vegan. Bao buns are huge! Spicy soup is full of veggies, tofu, mushies and nori + noodles comes on the side.

Excellent! - Edit
Hidden, completely vegan restaurant in Hoi An where you can either chose from a large buffet or chose a meal from a menu. Everything we had was delicious, especially the Cao Lao and the brownie. In my opinion much better than the tourist places!

Very good vietnamese food - Edit
Everything we ordered was really good and came in big portions. Not as stylish as some of the other vegan restaurants but we liked the food better and paid only a third. Nice to sit upstairs.

Affordable prices, cash only - Edit
Lovely little restaurant, with a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. I had the vegan noodle salad with mock meat and it was so yummy! The mockmeat/tofu they used was delicious. It came with a peanut miso sauce which was delicious. My partner had the buffet which he liked also. I really enjoyed the bahn baos, only downside there was no chilli to dip into it.
Read morePlease note it's cash only, they were very sweet though and offered we come back and pay for it later (we had run out) but we were happy to run out to the ATM.

Delicious Buffet! - Edit
We tried the buffet, it was so good! Very simple to order you just point to the food you want - the more you choose, the expansier it gets. My plate was so full and I had to pay only 60.000 dong.

Chaotic but delicious - Edit
I can’t say it was a relaxing experience but I think that was likely due to the lunar festival as it was very busy. I think it’s a good sign that there were so many locals eating there though!
Read moreI had the vegan chicken and rice which was amazing. And the staff were very friendly, if a little stressed looking.

Ok food, more expensive - Edit
We ordered the ca ri with rice and pho and found both of them to be okay but nothing special. The ca ri was quite expensive. Staff were friendly but we found much better places in Hoi An.

Search Ba Dam Vegeterian Resturant to get the directions. Searched on Google and it was very easy to find. Well priced food and so many options. The food was 10/10. Friendly staff and a nice balcony to eat out on.

Delicious! But opening hours are wrong- google maps are correct! - Edit
The first time we tried to eat here it was closed, unfortunately the opening hours aren’t correct here but on google maps. So from 4:30 pm on open.

The portions are a little small, so use the chance to order some fresh or fried spring rolls as appetizers- the prices are absolutely fair!

We came here two days in a row for lunch. The food was tasty and quite cheap. We like the location in one of those narrow alley hidden from the busy streets. They have also a terrace upstairs

Lovely quant restaurant down a quiet alleyway with a local feel. Very friendly staff and a buffet or menu options to chose from. This restaurant is 100% vegan. Also known as Ba Dam Vegetarian restaurant - search this in google maps as searching Quan Chau Dam takes you to the wrong location!!

Ate at Quan Chay Dam within minutes of entering Hoi An and it created a very positive first impression.

Go for the buffet - Edit
We were looking forward to trying this place, and based on the positive reviews had planned to choose from the buffet. Perhaps we should’ve gone earlier in the day because when we got there the buffet was almost empty, with the few bits that were left looking very dried out.
Read moreWe decided to order from the menu instead, choosing a pho, a stir-fried noodle dish, and a side of spring rolls. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food, finding it bland and boring. The noodles in particular were very flavourless, to the point I truly wonder if they accidentally skipped a step in the cooking process. It’s possible we just got unlucky with our dish choices and/or the cooks that day.
Despite staying nearby, we didn’t come back to this restaurant a second time, but if we had we definitely would’ve gone for the buffet instead.
Pros: Cheap 💸
Cons: Bland food 👎, Mì Quang noodles 🙅♀️
