Serves meat, vegan options available. A local cafe/farm/shop located in Tamahere, Waikato, and is made up of three interconnected parts: The Strawberry Farm (where you can pick your own strawberries), The Country Providore (a shop that stocks gifts and a range of organic treats, including many vegetarian and vegan options), and Punnet Eatery (formerly Punnet Cafe) which uses local organic ingredients, including those from the strawberry farm. The menu changes every three months, but always contains clearly labeled multiple vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, nut free, refined sugar free and dairy free items. Also has a range of cabinet sweets and slices which include multiple vegan, gluten free, raw and no refined sugar options. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-3:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:00am-3:30pm. Open all public holidays except Christmas Day.

Good but limited - Edit
I got the portobello burger vegan. The bread was clearly not as soft and delicious as the non vegan bread. I’ve had many delicious vegan brioche buns so it’s definitely possible. The burger content was good but the bread just kind of ruined it.
Read moreI’m sure the other options are good, though not many. The snickers bar was very good though!!

Delish - Edit
Have a seasonally changing menu - have tried multiple variations of their vegan burgers and never been disappointed. Lovely sunny spot with a popular playground for kids and a fancy shop attached

Breakfast 👌🏼 - Edit
Probably the best vegan breakfast in Hamilton. Fresh, tasty and different to the usual toast and tofu. Incredible gf nut toast, house made desserts and vegan smoothies. Just dreaming of more options on the main menu!

Well worth a visit - Edit
Punnet is known for its delicious vegan food in Hamilton. The menus change regularly so you are always getting lovely seasonal options and always something new which is great if you live here. They always have several items on the menu for vegans (maybe 3 - a breakfast, a salad and a main maybe) plus lots of vegan and raw items in the cabinet with coconut cream on the side. The staff are very clued up on dietary restrictions.
Read moreAbsolutely amazing for kids - huge outdoor playground and can pick your own strawberries in summer.
On the same complex is an amazing shop with plenty of gourmet vegan options (like raw chocolate).
My only complaint is the staff can be very hit or miss. Some are lovely but others not so, particularly with the kids which seems odd as they obviously want kids there with the playground. Saying that they have improved, and last time I went everyone was very nice.
Pros: Lots of truely delicious vegan food, Lovely setting , Great for kids
Cons: Staff not always friendly , Can be very busy and have a long wait, Expensive

Great food - Edit
Nice cafe with lots of vege and vegan options. Menu changes frequently and every time I’ve been the food has been great. Can get busy at weekends so worth booking a table.

Good vegan options in too popular restaurant - Edit
We, three vegans, went for lunch here today after making a (highly recommended) reservation. There were some good vegan options, my husband and son shared the vegan calamari and I had the celebratory strawberry salad, excellent food, but a bit pricy. A minus point was the low staff to client ratio: we had to wait long for ordering, receiving the food and even had to spent 15 minutes in a line to pay. The staff seemed to consider all these long waits as normal.

Many (and excellent) vegan choices - Edit
Went there for brunch with a group of vegan friends, and we tried I think all their vegan brunch options. They have plenty of them, and the chef is a vegan!
Read moreWe had:
- scrambled tofu on sourdough toast with pesto & micro greens
- cauliflower and chickpea fritters with hummus, Indian eggplant kasundi, coconut yogurt raita, grilled lemon, roasted baby vine tomato and almond feta
- "huevos rancheros" vegan version - corn tortillas, refried black beans and many nice fresh toppings
Everything was delicious. And they also have really wonderful sounding lunch options.
The place is really nice, although quite busy (especially on weekends I guess). Next door you can buy some gourmet vegan staples and organic fruit and veg.
Coming back!
Pros: Excellent vegan options, Nice place, friendly staff
Cons: A bit far from Hamilton/ difficult access by bike
