Fantastic vegan option!

Puerto Verde has a lunch offer (a drink, soup and main) for 110 pesos, and it’s delicious! A great option for vegans staying in Puerto Morelos – lovely staff and a great ethos.

Pros: Lunch is totally vegan, Really good prices, Delicious food

The best vegan food in Mexico

Even though I usually don’t rate non-vegan places with 5 stars, this restaurant really do deserve them all! After having spent 3 months in Puerto Morelos and traveling around whole Yucatan and Quintana Roo states, this place is definitely the best! The family that runs the place is super friendly and kind and they “veganize” traditional Mexican meals. Their lunch menu varies from day to day and during my 3 months stay in PM I didn’t eat the same food twice. They succeed in cooking something new and special every single time. After 6pm they serve vegan burgers and bbq cauliflower, which are also amazing! I could keep on coming back to this place forever!

Pros: Good price, Tasty food, Kind service

Cons: Not 100% vegan

Great Vegan Choices and Daily Special

New owner. Not vegan...but has great vegan choices.
No longer has homemade tortillas.
Breakfast offers pretty much zero vegan choices. But the lunch plate with an average of four items or more has been vegan everyday.
The restaurant needs to be listed as vegetarian, not vegan.
The owner and cooks are very sweet.
Just wish they were still a vegan restaurant. The original owner, Coco was our favorite vegan chef but had to sell because her father got sick and she moved to care for him.

Not vegan

It is not only vegan. It serves meat dairy and eggs and they have some vegan options. The food is tasty but ... I don’t like a place that advertises as vegan and it’s not

Pros: Home made food

Cons: Not vegan , Not vegetarian

Amazing Vegan Mexican

Really enjoyed the spread of food. Since it changes everyday I can't speak to the consistency, but we really enjoyed the food we got when we visited. Was able to provide gluten-free options.

Delicious daily food

I love the concept of this restaurant! Nice simple place with delicious food, friendly staff,... you feel like at home! Instead of a menu to read, different foods are prepared everyday and you are invited to see them and order what you like. Veganized Mexican dishes and soups, not the typical taco place, more special regional foods made of vegetables or vegan meats and always with rice, beans and home made tortillas.

Pros: Good local daily food, Fair prices, Friendly staff

Must visit if you're in PM!

We got to Siempre Sano for an afternoon lunch during our trip to PM and I wish we could have visited them a few more times! The food was sooooo good, and reasonably priced. The large option comes with homemade tortillas, soup, rice, beans, salad, a drink, dessert, and your choice of three fillers for just 80 pesos! On the day we were there they had a delicious seitan-based mock pork, vegetable soup and another spicy dish that I particularly enjoyed. Of course the homemade tortillas are like nothing you'll find in the USA, fresh and served warm. The staff were very friendly and spoke great English (much appreciated as I didn't have enough Spanish to convey everything we wanted). They wrapped up our leftovers for us and were happy to put together a take away order for a family member. If only they were open for dinner!

like in heaven...

This place is highly recommendable! its a small and nice Restaurant. they offer a menu with rice, salad and frijoles and fresh made tortillas, you can choose from a buffet 3 items, which is hard, cause everythings looked so fresh and tasty or you can choose 4 items when you skip the soup. the menu includes fresh juice (i had guava) and a jummy walnut cream postre (which changes daily i guess) - all of this for 80 peso!!! theres a small Menu with 2 items for 60 pesos.
the taste of the food was awesome and the service very good, they watched our bags while we were checking the buffet, very nice! go for it!!! one of the best vegan Restaurants i ve been to (and i have been to many...)!!!

Pros: delicious food, good value, friendly staff

Cons: -, -, -

Wonderful Food!!!

Siempre Sano is located a block north of the tourist square in Puerto Morelos to the east of the OXXO supermarket. The street is charming with a local garden, fresh fruit market and some truly unique architectural sites but let's get to the food! My husband and I came upon Siempre Sano and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff who work there. They showed us the many options they had for the day, which included a delicious vegan civeche and chorizo potatoes. After we placed our order we sat on the quaint plant-filled patio and enjoyed watching them hand make the tortillas for our order. Our lunch, which included 2 four course meals came in at less than $13 USD. Even if we had paid that per person I would have been happy. The food was superb and the staff were delightful. I hope to come back again soon and try everything else!

Pros: Affordable Pricing, Delicious Meals, Selection

All Vegan, all delicious!!

We were so happy to find this restaurant! The food is fabulous and the owner delightful. She has been vegan 18 years and her delicious recipes reflect that longevity.

Siempre Sano is just down the street from the low (lowest we found) cost hotel Inglaterra.

Pros: All vegan and delicious food, Many choices, Nice staff

Cons: Limited seating

Very Pleased To Find Delicious Vegan Food

After 4 days searching Playa Del Carmen, finally found a scrumptious feast in this charming town. The lunch combo, for 70 pesos, included soy-free and gluten-free options. Basically a selection of 7 or so home made dishes from which you choose 3; comes with soup, black beans, rice, fresh from the grill flour tortillas (which were brought throughout my meal), drink and fruit for desert. I neglected to get the name of the chef and staff who lovingly prepared and served the feast on the out-front patio on a quiet street, away from the town center. A little hard to find, as the location is a few blocks northeast of current listing (it was not on Rojo Gomez, but one block north towards the highway and 2 blocks east, next to the laundry. Ask for directions at the info booth near the taxi stand on the plaza.

Pros: delicious home made simple food, quiet , peaceful atmosphere, inexpensive, all vegan!

Delicious food

I am a vegan and don't eat veggie meat. I tried their vegetable and mushroom dishes with soft taco, and was pleasantly surprised at the delicious taste. In fact, i couldn't stop eating them as they just tasted so good. The owner is so loving, and she cooks with a lot of love that sure can be tasted in her food. She also let me try their natural red flower drink that was also good without a lot of after taste. Customers that come to this restaurant are extremely nice and kind and they all smile at one another as if they are friends for a long while, perhaps because they share the same taste of food, non-violence vegan. This is the only vegan place that I go eat in the Cancun area. I usually just tell the taxi driver to go to the beach town square in Puerto Morelos. The Restaurant is just few doors from the Internet arcade on Av. Rojo Gomez.

Pros: delicious food, great services, loving and friendly atmosphere

Cons: a little hot, Need stainless steel server & clear lidl

Coco cooks up amazing meals with a great variety. She is very is quick to make you something for every diet. The tortillas are hands down the best. She cooks with so much love you can taste it in the food.

Pros: great food, healthy, friendly
