Good in a pinch - Edit
No vegan pastries today but they do have vegan scrambled eggs you can put on a bagel. I added portobello and tomato. Oat and almond milk for coffee and there are grain bowls for lunch.

Incredible avocado toast! - Edit
Easy to make vegan, the staff is knowledgeable. The loaded avocado toast was incredible and it was a very generous portion. If you get hot drinks be sure to ask for extra hot or they are just warm.

Great Vegan Breakfast Sandwich - Edit
Had the roasted portobello mushroom breakfast sandwich. It had just egg and hummus on a bagel. Delicious. They have several marked vegan items on the menu. There is a “VE” next to them.
Read moreThey must have changed the menu since the last review as there was no tofu based sandwich
Didn’t see any vegan options on the donuts or pastry menu
Good coffee too.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options , Good for mixed groups when looking for brunch
Cons: No vegan donuts

Only one vegan option - Edit
Pretty disappointed (by the vegan options in Buffalo in general and) by the lack of options here. The staff had that just-saw-an-alien look when I asked about vegan options. One tofu breakfast sandwich but no pastries. Sandwich was alright, mostly just taste the toast, not a lot done to the tofu.

Trendy Coffee Shop with Great Vegan Options! - Edit
Sunday morning breakfast found us exploring Public Espresso located in Downtown, Buffalo. Trendy describes the decor and atmosphere which consists of walls and furniture painted in chic black and white designs.
Read moreAt the cash register in full display you have a glorious selection of pastries. Today's varieties consisted of 6 different flavours, 4 clearly marked Vegan!!! However, I opted out of a sugar breakfast and went straight to the toasts offerings. They have your traditional jams and cream cheeses, but also peanut butter, maple syrups and the classic avocado toast. Ordering the avocado toast I did ask if it had an egg just in case, and while it doesn't the cashier was quick to say they add butter but are more than happy to make it vegan by omitting. Unprompted which I appreciated, and was proudly told they can make many of their offering vegans if asked.
Overall a pleasant experience and will be making my way back. Prices were fair. Portions were generous and most importantly staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Pros: Many options to choose from, Generous portions, Price
