An Oasis for vegans in a non-veg friendly airport - Edit
This airport is not very kind to vegans when it comes to options. Luckily Avocat exists. Now this place does sell meat. But they have plenty of vegan options. Also they claim to be an Organic & Gluten-Free restaurant, which is great if you're looking for that kind of thing.
Read moreI decided to order the ready to eat food from the display window. But they also had hot plates available. The tofu panini was appreciated. It tasted great, but the Gluten-free bun was, well... Gluten-free. Same goes for the vegan Cheese empanada. Still, the fact that I was able to order an empanada at the airport in Panama was a win.
Now as previous reviewers have stated, this place is pricey. We have to consider the fact of Airport prices, with vegan prices, Organic prices, and Gluten-free prices. But it's food catering to an audience that this particular airport has forgotten. So I definitely recommend paying this place a visit.

It's nice to have a complete meal option in the airport. A couple options to choose from. The food was good. Expensive (like every food in a airport).

Pretty overpriced for how underwhelming the food is and small portions. I had the pad Thai and it was so salty you would need a gallon of water along with it.

One of best places for vegan food among Latin American airports - Edit
I travel frequently in Latin America and struggle to find airport restaurants with healthy vegan food. I was thrilled to see that Avocat opened in PTY’s new terminal. Pad Thai was excellent, though the portion was a little small. I look forward to trying more dishes here during future travels.
