Lots of vegan options - Edit
Cute little place in downtown Bordentown. Side street parking is sometimes tough. Non-veg options if you’re going with a non-veg. Food is good, if not a bit expensive, and I’m particularly happy with the cupcakes😄

I really enjoyed! - Edit
I read the other reviews about the food being bland, so I was hesitant to try. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the portabella mushroom banh mi sandwich, which had a lot of flavor from the sriracha mayo and the pickler veggies. I ordered a gingerbread latte, which was devine! Can't speak on the other dishes, but based on this experience, I would definitely go again.

Food is okay - Edit
Placed on a sort of main street, parking can be challenging. Food is seasonal and it's okay. Presentation is always pleasant. Food is expensive.

Fresh but flavors aren't great - Edit
This is one of the only vegan-friendly spots in the area, yet I still don't go here often. The issue is that the flavors aren't great and the execution can be inconsistent. It's also quite pricey if you get multiple items, but that's to be expected at a place like this. I really looked forward to the opening, but have been disappointed repeatedly. My omnivorous family likes it though.
Read moreI tried all of the vegan bowls and haven't found one I'd want to eat again. The hummus is good, but the pickles on the sandwich are too strongly spiced. The Bella banh mi would be better warm and isn't really banh mi-like. I hate the chili and the first time I tried it, it had dairy cheese in it (but that was close to opening day). I haven't tried the tofu scramble or "tartines" bc the prices are high for those boring/basic items. The vegetable soup is majorly bland, I'm a coconut bacon hater, and I avoid stuff with coconut cream or milk in for digestive reasons, so that basically covers the rest of the vegan stuff on the menu.
Healthy vegan food can taste good, but not at properly fueled.
Another issue I've encountered is the rice noodles being cooked badly yet still served as a shattered mess.
The positives: the sourdough bread is very good, the aforementioned hummus is especially tasty, there are gluten free options, they have seasonal specials, the grilled tofu is good (plain but not beany), the place is cute, and again, there isn't anything else like this in the immediate Trenton area (excluding Princeton). Overall I like properly fueled in theory but I don't go there because the food just isn't good enough. For comparison purposes, I wish it was more like from seed to sprout. A suggested quick fix would be for properly fueled to improve their dressings (used to be way too oily with not enough acid) and be consistent in execution.
Pros: Vegan options, Gluten free options, Vegetables
Cons: Inconsistent, Not the best flavors, Expensive

So good! - Edit
I’ve tried several things in this place and they were all delicious. I didn’t think it was expensive, specially for the quality of the food and for the package (paper containers). It is my place to go now. The dessert was amazing

Good, healthy food - Edit
They make a good tofu scramble here. You can pick what you want in it. I got sweet potatoes, kale, and cashew parm. So good!! The almond milk latte was quite good too. It's a cute little place with a decent amount of vegan options, worth a stop if you're in the area.

Worth a try! - Edit
Fresh, quality ingredients. I love that they use local sources and in season produce. I have throughly enjoyed everything I have tried. Especially the “loco for cocoa” smoothie with vegan protein.

wonderful vegan options! - Edit
Really well decorated comfy cafe eith excelled soup, salad, sandwiches and dessert! We had the spring special chickpea burger, green goddess salad, chocolate peanut butter shake, harvest souo and a brownie. It was all delicious and not heavy or greasy. A real oasis for vegans in Jersey.

delicious lunch - Edit
We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was hopping & bustling. So cute inside. I had the Eat More Hummus sandwich & smoky sweet potato salad. I had to take it home because it was so much food. My daughter had the Modern Tuna sandwich & pineapple smoothie (she took Home half sandwich because it was so big), & my son had the kid’s Fuel Box which he loved. I also got the vegan brownie which was to die for. Excellent meal. Will definitely come back!!!

yummy food - Edit
I've had their seasonal zucchini bowl, their Thai bowl, their smoothie, and their sweet potato salad. My husband, an Omni, had their tuna sandwich. The zucchini bowl had a little too much pesto for my taste, but was very fresh and delicious. Their Thai bowl is my favorite, very large portion and well balanced. The smoothie had some stevia in it which couldn't be removed, but was not too sweet. The potato salad was a very small portion, but delicious! The tuna sandwich was served on mouth-watering bread and though on the smaller side, was "filling and delicious." My only complaint is that they said their tofu, which can be added to any dish, was cooked on the same surface as their other animal proteins. A little pricey, but worth it for a filling, nutritious meal.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
Wandered off the turnpike on the way north to stop and have lunch. The space is inviting, the service is great, and there are several vegan options. The food was fresh, and was not overly sauced or sweetened. It can be expensive, but the portions are in line with the price. You could easily feed two people from one noodle bowl. If you grab a smoothie and a bowl of soup or chili, you'll have an enjoyable and affordable experience.

Healthy & Tasty Vegan Options - Edit
Cute cafe that focuses on healthy food! Many gluten-free options as well. Staff is friendly and there are several vegan options that are clearly labeled. I highly recommend the chai oats. Very flavorful and unique. The thai noodle bowl with tofu and avacado toast were also delicious. Not a fan of the bahn mi. Nice to see a healthy place with vegan options in Bordentown.
