Nice vegan cafe - Edit

We visited this place last august when we where traveling in Portugal. We really enjoyed this cosy and cute place. The food was home-made-like and good. The prices were also very reasonable.

Pros: Home-made food, Quite cheap

Cons: narrow menu

My favorite place in Lisbon - Edit

Probably my favorite place in Lisbon, nice, friendly and warm atmosphere. Food is top quality and very flavorful. There are different dishes to try every day but don't miss the polenta with seitan topped with soy cream. It's delicious!

Pros: Triumph of flavors

Sattvic Food - Edit

This little cafè-restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere with a friendly staff. The menu selection is not too wide and all vegan. It can be an option if you are in the center. The quality is ok even though some things can be improved. I asked for a ginger juice which came with all the ginger pulp in it and was not easy to drink. The food we ate lacked a bit of character and the cakes are on the dry side. All in all I will still recommend it. I went there for dinner with a friend and came back the day after for cake and coffee in the afternoon. Nice music in the background!

mediocre food and bad service - Edit

Unfortunately my experience here was not good.
To begin I ordered their "cold pressed juice" which came out wrong and also came out with chunks of carrots. It was more like a smoothie so I had to ask for it to be filter out pieces.
We the had "nachos" which aren't really nachos. It's a side of store bought salsa and some olives.
Then the entrees came. The curry lentil stew was poor tasting and the polenta incredibly oily
The veggie strudel and the couscous were ok. If you absolutely need to stop and eat there which was our case, get that.
We were never given silverware as promised and no napkin in sight.
The place was super dead so there is no excuses for that. Would not recommend.
The total for nachos 2 juices and 2 entrees , 29 €. Not worth it.

Chaotic - Edit

Stuff not that nice. One of the girls had no clue about the menu. I wanted the polenta dish but then I was informed they do not have polenta anymore. The alternative was a lentil salad with couscous. I asked if it was served warm or cold since it was really cold in Lisbon that day - they told me it was cold. So I ended up eating a soup, which they did not know of what it was made. It was nothing special so sorry for my bad recession.

Pros: Homemade cakes, Place inside, Prices ok

Cons: Bad stuff, Lack of dishes shown in the menu

Very tasty - Edit

I had the satvic masala dosa and I did not regret it. It was absolutely tasty.

For dessert, we shared the chocolate salami and some sort of chocolate pudding with cookies served in a cup. I was glad to be able to sample a vegan version of the popular salami, and it was pretty good. I much preferred though the chocolate pudding with cookies, which, oddly enough, reminded me of the ice cream+oreo cake my grandmother used to make.

The waitress was very nice.

Pros: friendly staff

Cosy small café - Edit

This is a small café with a small changing menu. The food is good, but nothing special. We had a pumpkin curry with brown rice and fresh juices. The laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff contribute to a pleasant stay.

It is a nice place to go when you are in the area, when visiting the Castle or the wonderful viewpoint Miradouro da Graca!

Pros: Vegan food near the Castle!, Nice staff, homely atmosphere

Good but wouldn't go again - Edit

A nice calm space and relaxed vibe.
Interesting options on the menu and loads of choice for alcohol.

The soup & main red bean curry dish I had were great with a lot of flavor but the cheesecake dessert was pretty tasteless and the meal portions were kinda on the small side. Also noticed the American tourists next to me were a bit disappointed at their nachos order where the nachos were just store bought crisps with a small side of tomato salsa.

If you go make sure you have cash because it's cash only and I had to leave my ID at the restaurant then walk up a huge hill to get to the nearest ATM to be able to pay lol

Pros: Interesting menu choices , Nice vibe , Good coffee

Cons: Not very flavourful, Small portions , Cash only - ATM is far away

Nice place, food average - Edit

During our visit at the Princesa do castelo the staff was friendly and we did'nt have to wait long.
But as many others wrote before, the nachos with hummus didn't taste very good - funny, everbody orders them ;)
The main dish was ok but the seasoning was a bit strange, it didn't really taste good, though there was a lot of vegetables and spices put together...
The dessert was good!

Pros: laid back atmosphere

Good to see somewhere vegan - Edit

Eating vegan in Lisbon isn't the easiest task so it is nice to come across places like this where you know you're going to get food.
The food wasn't special but it did the job.

We had soup (2.90) and Fagioli (8.50) followed by a slice of chocolate salami (1.50) and a bowl of "sweet treat" (2.90).

Whilst travelling around Portugal I saw lots of Chocolate Salami but never saw another vegan version, so that was good to try.

Pros: Fully vegan

Cons: Not many vegan versions of portuguese dishes.

Nothing special - Edit

We had nachos with hummus and olives. Nachos were purchased, hummus average, olives was OK. Smoothie slightly mashed. We had rice with beans and vegetable anything special for the price. Chocolate pudding was great.
Staff forget smile. No greatings at leaving.

Pros: puding

Cons: staff, smoothie, price

Bad Service - Edit

We visited here on our trip to Lisbon but were really disappointed.

After an hour of waiting for food, we asked if they had forgotten our order, and the waitress only asked what we had ordered again and ignored the fact they had forgotten our order.

The food was ok when it finally arrived but not convinced it was vegan! We noticed the sign said vegetarian on our way out, so might be worth checking if actually vegan.

I would say there are nicer and friendlier places to go in Lisbon which has generally been great to eat out in! :)

A lovely lunch - Edit

I really enjoyed this small vegan restaurant. It is tucked into the winding streets around the São Jorge Castle and is a perfect place to eat before or after your visit to the castle. The food was delicious and the ambiance was cute & cozy. The apple strudel dessert was amazing! Service was good. This is definitely worth checking out!

Pros: food, location, ambiance
