really hard to order vegan - Edit
While they do have a few vegan(ish) items here it really is hard to eat vegan here. They feature IMPOSSIBLE on the menu but the Impossible burger house-made bun is not vegan ... they offered me a lettuce wrap but I declined ... later I found out a tortilla wrap could have made for a vegan option. I order the Frito Pie with Impossible meat ... it was ok but boring. My wife had the Avocado Taco which really is the only vegan option on the menu (assuming the rice and beans actually are vegan as it was a bit hard to get a straight answer from the wait staff) and it was bland and tasteless despite it sounding great. We spoke to the manager after eating and while she was nice she clearly stated they are not interested in serving vegans but rather giving some options and alternatives to regular omni customers. She didn't seem moved by the fact that we're locals and live very nearby and that they've done all the vegan stuff they are going to do. Not delicious and not recommended.

Impossible Frito Pie! - Edit
Just steps from the world famous Five and Dime Frito Pie, is the also famous Plaza Cafe with an Impossible meat substitution for Frito Pie. I'm pescatarian and couldn't tell you if Fritos are even Vegetarian. And I don't care. Frito Pie is the only meat meal I've missed in over 4 years. A truly tasty option is a dream come true.

Great for mixed crowds. Sit inside immediately at the counter. We came back. First visit was Impossible hard shell tacos sans cheese and sour cream. Second was soft shell avocado tacos. Delicious food. My Omni husband also raved.

A fair amount vegan options. I had the impossible burger with a gluten-free bun and my friend had the avocado tacos and we were both very satisfied. They also have chips & guac, a veganizable burrito and some salads that looked like they could be made vegan. They also offer delivery through Postmates!

They were out of the Impossible burger so I went with the vegetarian burger on a tortilla since the bun is not vegan. It was very tasty. I’d definitely go back again.

None of the supposed vegan options are vegan, just vegetarian. When I asked the server if it was possible to get them vegan, he just told me vegan items are marked. He had no clue what made them not vegan, nor would go to the kitchen to ask. Enjoy your chips and guacamole....

Love this restaurant! Wish they had more vegan options, but maybe in the future they’ll add more options to the menu. I recommend the veggie burger or Impossible burger (bun is not vegan) although they said they are working on a vegan bun. I also really enjoy their avocado tocos, the menu was recently changed and it says they are vegetarian but I asked and they are still vegan.
