Don’t understand what vegan means - Edit
I have enjoyed other locations, so I tried this one and have given them a few chances… but no.
Read moreThey have given me dairy cheese on some part of my vegan items just about every time. If you don’t ask for no cheese on the side of beans, it’s going to be dairy cheese every time, no matter what they tell you.
One time my tacos came with very finely shredded cheese on top. I asked what it was because it looked different than usual, and the server and owner both told me that the supplier ran out of the regular brand and sent this in its place. I asked what kind it was, because I had never seen vegan cheese look like that… and they brought out a bag of definitely non-vegan Monterey Jack. We had to explain to them that having milk listed as an ingredient makes it not vegan, and they were still confused.
I have yet to find a single employee there - server, manager, or otherwise - who actually understands what vegan means even though they have the items on the menu. They’ll tell you that “the kitchen knows” but they sure don’t.
For reference, their standard vegan cheese is Daiya. If it doesn’t look or taste like Daiya, you’re eating dairy. Trust the vegan with the dairy allergy here, not the staff.

Muy Delicioso! - Edit
This was a take-out order. I got the burrito vegano and the tableside guacamole. The burrito is massive, delicious, and very filling. I could only finish half, so I saved the rest for lunch the next day. They also hook it up on the guac and chips. They gave me a lot of guac and two bags of fresh tortilla chips. All of the ingredients and food are very fresh. This place is just down the road from me, so I will definitely be going back.
