In una piccola via del centro storico di Catania, esattamente di fronte alla casa museo di Giovanni Verga, si trova questo piccolissimo locale tutto vegetariano, quasi vegano se non per la presenza di qualche opzione con formaggio.

Il cibo viene servito in materiale del tutto compostabile.
Si ordina al banco e poi si prende il proprio vassoio quando so viene chiamati.
Io ho preso un panino all'avena con panelle, mayo veg al limone e cipolla caramellata, accompagnato dalle loro patate fritte alla terza sempre con mayo veg. Un'esplosione di sapori!!!
Vorrei tanto tornarci nelle mie future passeggiate a Catania.

The menu is mainly vegan except for one item which is vegetarian. You can choose between burgers, tacos, panini and salads. They also offers interesting side dishes such as panelle (typical of Sicily). I've tried the classic burger but with the oat bun instead and panelle, both delicious. To drink I've had the local kombucha made with green tea, very tasty. Staff is nice and you can also sit outside. It is a nice spot for a quick meal. It is a kind of fast food but with attention to high-quality food and reinvented with local taste.

This was right by where I stayed and was open everyday. This led me in several times despite me normally avoiding burgers, etc. They are super friendly and probably the best version of fast food you could want, including compostable packaging. The skewers are awesome and only 1€ for a whole stick. The other non burger things I tried were great and the one burger I got (the classic) was good too. Had apple and cheesecake desserts which were also lovely. Very glad this was there with the limited options in the city! Thank you!

Read moreI had the smokey burger with extra bacon. I enjoyed it, but it would be better, if the burger was less sweet. The nuggest were tasty, but they could be improved texture wise.
The staff was very friendly. The food was pretty inexpensive. The resturant hat a nice atmosphere. The card is completly vegan besides one dish if i didnt miss anything.

Very friendly staff, and they all speak English (which, sadly, is not very common in Catania). We went three times during our visit. They offer delicious burgers, but you have to try the P-Boxes — they come with rice or salad. Nearly everything is vegan, except for one burger. We also had the triple-baked potatoes as a side dish every time. A cool thing is that all the packaging is 100% compostable.

Well, this is a perfect find right after arriving in Catania. Very friendly staff, cute setting and deliiiicious food. I had the Ploké bowl and tried all the arrostinici together with the chick pea fries. All great! Definitely coming back for more very soon. 🩷
