Disappointing and unauthentic “Asian” food - Edit
We were very exited to come here, but ended up disappointed. I ordered a Tom Kah soup and it had absolutely nothing in common with this famous Thai soup. The flavor was extremely unbalanced and they used strange spices. The color was orange/brown when it’s supposed to have a light white color. They even used a grilled lemon with peal inside. This has a very strong flavor and made the whole soup taste funky. My partner ordered a Pad Thai and this too tasted more like ketchup- although better than the soup. We also had the mushroom skewers for appetizer, this was good. Will not come back.

Matched the good reviews - Edit
Food, atmosphere, and service were great overall. I especially loved the crispy wonton appetizer and tempura broccoli. Service was a bit slow to take our orders and give the check, but it was decently busy in there.

Ordered gyoza, pad Thai and a sushi roll. Everything was very fried and did not taste fresh at all. Flavors not great.

Lovely Asian vegan food - Edit
Walking in here is an experience. Such a beautiful room!
Read moreService was impeccable and we liked the food.
Brussels sprouts on a stick could have been more tender, but nice to see some veggies!
All in all it seems like they primarily use ‘whole food’ ingredients instead of substitutes.
Then we had two rolls of sushi. Super cool to see so many different vegan sushi options. The rice could perhaps be more ‘sushi-like’ if the grains were larger/rounder.
The Indian-inspired masala with naan was quite big. The bread was tasty as so was the dish. Could have been great with some tender veggies though as it did miss some different consistencies.
Apart from the few things that could be improved we can definitely see ourselves coming back.

Vibe is better than the sushi - Edit
Ordered the mushroom skewer and two maki rolls. Was unimpressed to say the least - no flavor and too much rice. Not worth the money.

Best food & atmosphere in CDMX - Edit
Coolest restaurant, friendly service and super food with great presentation. Went back twice plus got a Uber order so have tried lots: from the sushi menu had the Chile roll, Shiitake Teriyaki Roll & Crispy kimchi roll; Yakimeshi Kimchi & Tacos Peking; Massaman Curry; Miso Chocolate cake and they were all amazing! Plus the Love potion drink was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted.

Some good, some okay - Edit
My husband and I recently ate there. We really enjoyed the wontons and gyozas. The main dishes (Pad Thai and Pad See Ew) we’re just okay though, lacking in some essential flavouring. Staff was attentive and the space was lovely.

Not very authentic, but tasty! - Edit
The girlfriend's orange sauced fried cauliflower with rice was really nice. My Tom Kha was good but had woefully undercooked potatoes. Lots of cool seating arrangements and plants; great vibe.

A mixed-bag experience - with some dishes great, others poor - Edit
The positive news is that their appetizers are good to even very good (try the yummy momos), as are their sushi rolls (the crispy plantain one is fantastic). However, many of the dishes are amateur-like and pale imitations of the real thing. Specifically, the noodle dishes here are poor - worse than food court take-out in other countries; for that reason, steer clear of Plantasia's almost tasteless pad see ew and their sad pad thai.

Not great - Edit
Based on other people's reviews I'd imagine that the food for dining in is probably great (I haven't tried it yet), however my delivery order was just not great. In fact it was really bad, especially the ramen. The Gyoza was fine, so that's why I'm giving 2 stars, otherwise it would have been one.

There are so many options to try, it was hard to decide. I had sushi, which was tasty and nice consistency. My friend had a masala dish, the tofu had a nice cook and the rest had a nice flavor and desert, was pretty good too, not too sweet not too plane! The environment overall was cool

Someone needs to learn how to make Green Thai curry! - Edit
The place is lovely and the staff are nice. But I was deeply disappointed by the Green curry. It was like a soup with hardly any vegetables. The fried dumplings and wanton are ok. I might return to try the Japanese food.

Flavorful sushi - Edit
Very charming concept, the restaurant vibe is pretty good. I have to admit that service was one of the best ones in CDMX, our girl was awesome, combined with good food made a fantastic experience. My sister and I visited Plantasia just to have a quick dinner after a long flight and this food was without any doubt a lifesaver for us. The sushi had a fantastic consistency and taste, also the truffle noodles were fabulous too. In fact, I will recommend this place again

Inspired flavors! - Edit
Ordered takeout/delivery via Uber Eats. Food arrived looking great. The Tarta de Chocolate Miso - Caramel was outstanding. The Chile Roll, Shitake Teriyaki Roll, and Dinamita Roll were all delicious however they had too much rice which, consequently, leaves you with a heavy feeling. The Mandarín salad was delicious, although the portion was rather small. Overall, I was very impressed with the flavors.
