Best restaurant in London - Edit
We were in town for the fringe festival and had dinner here before a show. It was delicious. I had braised mitake mushroom and my boyfriend had pasta. The mitake was off the charts delicious, even my “not a fan of mushrooms” boyfriend loved it. We had the beet tower and fresh rolls for starters and they were both excellent as well. The cheese in the beet tower really put that dish over the top. On top of all this our server was friendly, professional and really made us feel welcome and looked after. Whenever I go back to London I will be sure to have a meal here. Loved it!

Good but not outstanding - Edit
I think it really depends on the dishes you choose here. The dishes the couple beside me got looked amazing, my risotto was a bit sad however. The server did offer a few times to get me something else when I looked a bit disappointed, but the flavour was nice enough and I didn't want to waste it. The problem is it was not a creamy risotto. It was nicely al dante but no richness and the portion was so tiny with two small onions and 3 slivers of roasted sweet potato as the veg and no protein. For a main this was far too small and far from a complete meal. I also had the mushroom truffle soup as a starter and it was nice, again not outstanding, but better than the risotto. The desert was delicious!! Really lovely creme brulee :). The staff are all friendly and the atmosphere is more upscale than your regular casual vegan restaurant. Worth trying, just don't get the risotto.

Thoughtful food - Edit
As a lot of vegan food is going to heavy and comfort, here is a place that's a little more upscale and very thoughtful with their menu.

My dishes were really good - Edit
Seems it could go bad if you order the wrong dishes but that was not my experience at all. My flat bread, burger and cheese cake were delicious! Enjoy!

Good, but not amazing - Edit
I was really excited to try Plant Matter Bistro because I love Plant Matter Kitchen, but to be honest I was a little disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and staff friendly, but the food was just okay.
Read moreWe got the brie en croute, which was really tasty. For mains my dish was way too salty and my partner's dish was way too vinegary. The chocolate dessert was okay, but nothing special.
To be fair I've only been there once when they were newly opened so it is very possible it is better now!
Pros: Tasty vegan cheese, Good wine, Nice venue

Fine dining, fine flavour - Edit
Traveling with work again. Found this place on Happy Cow and also spotted it a couple doors down from Globally Local. Pretty and classy restaurant. Ordered the ravioli special, mushroom filled. Such a pretty meal! And delicious. Reminded me of the Polish ushki we have at Christmas. I was very pleased with my visit. Would go again. You should treat yourself. :)
