Tasty Pizza!

The vegan cheese is listed under “extra cheese” not under “cheese” which might be why I discounted this place for over a decade, assuming they didn’t have vegan cheese. The vegan meat is listed under “not meat” where the veggies are. I get the impression the type of vegan meat might change now and then. Anyway, good option when you want pizza and you’re in the area.

A vegan-friendly surprise

My recent visit to Pizza Port left me pleasantly surprised, particularly by their vegan options. One of the highlights was the extensive selection of vegan toppings, including dairy-free cheese, tons of veggies, and even mock meat.

While I enjoyed the flavors and combinations of toppings on the pizza, the crust was a bit on the heavy and overly bready side. I prefer a lighter, crispier base that allows the toppings to shine without overwhelming the palate with doughiness.

Nevertheless, the overall quality of the pizza was commendable. The vegan cheese was good, and the abundance of fresh veggies added lots of flavor with each bite. The inclusion of mock meat was also a nice touch, providing a satisfying protein component to the meal.

I look forward to returning to Pizza Port to explore more of their vegan offerings.
