very good food

very interesting concept of taiwanese fried chicken with a vegetarian chicken cutlet, it is worth its price. The new outlet is tucked away at a small corner of serangoon, accessible only by bus.

decent food but quite pricey

Enjoyed their bakkutteh, VFC. Sadly, their Mushroom soup quality fluctuates. That being said, still an awesome eatery that serves vegan food with no onion/garlic. They even have vegan waffles with pumpkin Kaya.

A gem in Hougang!

We ordered Meekia, very very good ! Better than the one at Amk. I should say their Meekia is the best I’ve had!

Pros: I love their food! Meekia is superb nice!

I came for the chick'n & mee

I had their fried chick'n cutlet (came with coleslaw [non-dairy dressing] and fries) and bak chor mee, both were really good! The crispy crust of the chick'n cutlet is crispier than any cutlet I've ever had, but it could have be better seasoned. First time having bak chor mee and it was delish too!

Great hidden vegan joint with interesting twists

First time I had Bak Chor Mee after turning vegan, not missing the real thing after this. Calm, quiet place with very friendly staffs. Will be back to try their lunch menu.

Pros: Quiet/Calm, Friendly, Tasty twists

Cons: Lack of options (for breakfast)

Great fried food

Fried chicken was good, thought the batter could've been a touch more tasty, but it was crispy. I still prefer the other place which used to sell DFC, portions were bigger and the fried chicken was in general more savoury, but well they're no longer open.

I liked the fish and chips, which has a thin layer of seaweed to give it that fish flavour.

Teriyaki Unagi rice had a generous amount of rice but one not too big piece of mock fish, a bigger portion of fish would be better, and it wasn't a particularly outstanding mock Unagi, just alright.

For the cakes, the supplier they use has mentioned few years ago that their cakes are vegan except for the white chocolate which is not vegan, and the cakes they were selling at Pine Green had white chocolate, so I hope they will check with the supplier about this and make sure the cakes they are supplied with don't have non vegan ingredients or things like Ferraro Roche. or chocolate covered sticks, if the supplier is using Peppero sticks, they're not vegan.

Overall, I'm really happy they're going all vegan, and it's still an excellent crispy fried chicken, what I went there for. Will definitely return when I have a craving for vegan fried chicken, and to try the other food!

Pros: Friendly staff, Good food

affordable and delicious

The newly opened Vegan eatery is located right under a HDB block.

The eatery is divided with western cuisine indoors and Chinese cuisine outdoors.
I tried the Bak Chor Mee Noodles ($4) and for awhile was worried the minced ‘meat’ they used wasn’t vegan. It’s mocked meaty taste was a relieve, haha! Definitely worth the try.

Despite calling themselves ‘Vegan Cafe’, the coffees, tea and Milo drinks are not vegan and do contain dairy.

Thank you very much, did they tell you yourself that it is only vegetarian? Do they understand the difference? I ate two pieces of cake 2 weeks before and a mocha, I would be very disappointed

I just visited them on 23rd April 2018 and has confirmed with their owner that their drinks menu has replaced milk with soy milk already. Cheers. (:
