I have now been a few times. The staff are always friendly (such a stark difference from the horrendous staff at "the other vegan deli on that side of the city ;)).
Read moreI like their salad-type sandwiches (not the faux meat stuff). Most recently, I had their bahn mi special sandwich.. one of the best sandwiches I have ever had.
The only criticism I have is that I'd prefer to have a plate (vs single-use container) if I am going to dine in. It is unnecessarily wasteful.
I hope they do very well and maintain service and food quality.
Pros: Delicious food, Made in-house, Service, friendly staff
Cons: Single-use packaging when dining in, Not open on Sundays

Sandwiches were absolutely excellent - the breaded soy “chicken” in the damn Caesar was fantastic. Gyros was super flavourful too. Best was the Vietnamese iced coffee with coconut condensed milk

Traditional Milk Bar, but make it vegan! - Edit
Recently stopped by the relatively new Pickles Milk Bar and was instantly taken back by the nostalgia of a traditional Milk Bar.
Read moreOn offer is a handful of loaded bagels, sangas, savoury pies, potato cakes, loaded fries, dim sims and even a handful of vegan lollies and treats!
They have a handful of bench seats to sit down on, or some milk crates to use to sit on outside, but Pickles is essentially a take-away only location.
I grabbed the Bagel, Hot Chickn Sanga, loaded fries (which used the Birds Eye 'Lamb'), potato cakes, chocolate milk shake and even a cinnamon scroll.
The quirky shopfront screams of nostalgia, and the food does a great job of keeping you completely satisfied - just be mindful that it does get packed at lunchtime on a Saturday (the line was out the door)!
Pros: Dog Friendly - with treats and drinks, Delicious food, Nostalgia

Great food and a great concept - Edit
We just saw this place had opened so we decided to walk here for a breakfast. They have pies, sandwiches (after 9am), hot and cold drinks (including spiders) and cakes and lollies. We both ordered a hot drink and food. They asked if we wanted to have our drinks while we waited for the food and we did. All their coffees are made with a double shot which is wonderful. I had a soy flat white and it was strong and well made. My partner enjoyed the soy hot chocolate.
Read moreI had ordered the bagel on an everything bagel. I liked how the flavours mixed together and I enjoyed the “bacon”. My partner had ordered the damn caesar. As the bagel and sandwich were cut in half, we shared half each. The damn Caesar was delicious. I loved the fried mushrooms.
I also got some lollies.
Really lovely staff, delicious food and I love that 70s mixed business decor. I’ll definitely come back.

Opening day and already hitting the mark - Edit
Loved my first visit to Pickles Milk Bar. The coffee was good, the staff was friendly and the breakfast bagel sandwich I had was SO delicious. It’s made with a juicy tofu bacon that was out of this world. It was so good I didn’t even miss the hot sauce that I'd planned on putting on from the condiment bar. Yum!
