Care-ful food without the junk

I’ve been to this cafe a few times now when I’m in Lisbon and I’m always impressed with the care they take in making their food. There are usually some unusual ingredients and it provides a nice respite from so many vegan junk food places.

Pros: Small and personal , Carefully sourced , Creative dishes

Pequeño indeed

Cute little cafe. Very little room between tables so you need to be comfortable with your neighbors 😉 I enjoyed the cheese plate but was a little disappointed that it came out with 3 instead of the 4 cheeses I had seen on other reviews and less crackers 😟 We had to ask for more bread (which they did give us for free). It felt a bit overpriced and plain for what it was (including the wine per glass at €6) although it was very tasty.

Cute coffee

I ate the benedict egg : i think the name is a bit misleading and should be names scrambled tofu on a toast!
I had high expectations because of the reviews, however i was a bit disappointed. It was good and the presentation is beautiful, but the bread was too sour and the tofu lack flavors, and was a too salty for me? But maybe it's just me since everyone else seems to rave about it!!

Pros: Cute coffee, vibes, Presentation is beautiful

Pequeno no tamanho, grande no sabor

Best peanut & miso cookie ever

Small but cosy space. The food is wonderfully made with seasonal ingredients. This time I just went for dessert. The cookies are great 😍

Nice toasts

We tried Benedict and oyster mushroom sandwiches. They were both nice. Oyster mushrooms had a distinct smell that we didn't love. Overall texture and taste was good

Tasteful and healthy

I tried the brunch, it's good to taste various dishes. The menu has some variations depending on the day, like "cake of the day" or "juice of the day". A satisfied option for breakfast or lunch.

One of the best vegan spots

Second time I came here, and it was great again. Staf is enthusiastic and friendly, food is very tasteful. On top: they made their own kombucha (try the cold brew coffee version) and they serve good coffee.

Pros: Completely vegan, Home brewed kombucha, Staff is super friendly

Never fails!

I’ve been to Pequeno many times and can confirm they’re one of the safest choices in Lisbon. Their food always feels like a hug to your soul, their staff is so nice and smiley, I love going there! As for the menu, their kombucha and double choc cookie deserve a special mention. Oh and the cakes!!

Pros: Great coffee and food!, New specials every week!, Nicest staff!

Feels like home

Few places in Lisbon make me feel as welcome as Pequeno does. The people that work there care and it shows in every plate they prepare. From a perfect matcha to their “weekly menu” and all the delicious things they have on display, Pequeno never disappoints me. I’m not vegan but would become one if it was a requirement to eat there. I feel at home, I only wish it was closer to home (but it’s not their fault).

Pros: Tasty and healthy “homemade feel” food, Friendly staff, Cozyness

Great coffee and cakes

Been here a few times, and more so since they went fully vegan (yay and well done!!). I love their coffee and selection of sweet treats, and you can never go wrong with their cake of the week ;-)

Awesome Vegan in Arroios!

On a recent lengthy visit to Lisbon’s azulejos museum, we were ready for some refueling afterwards, and decided to checkout Pequeno Café e Bistrô at their Arroios location. (We have been to their other location a couple of times and loved it.) This one is located at the Arroios Marketplace, in a good location where we were able to get to by public transportation. They’ve got inside seating, inside mall seating, as well as tables alfresco (which we would’ve chosen if a table were available). It’s definitely a “neighborhood/local” kinda place, as everyone spoke the language and seemed to know (or was familiar with) one another. That said, we felt welcomed by the friendly server. (We asked for the English menu.). 😉 We both started (as is our proclivity) with a glass of red wine (very good), and opted for their special, which was a creamy tofu/broccoli dish. The special was excellent and filling! We did a chocolate cookie for dessert which was to-die-for! (So much so that we bought a couple for takeaway!) In sum: Like their counterpart in Príncipe Real, this Pequeno Café is just awesome! 😄

Good vibes, tasty, portion a bit small

Small vegan place with a nice atmosphere. Friendly customer service. The food was tasty and pretty, but the portion for a main meal was a bit small. I recommend the chocolate cookie.

Pros: Tasty , Good vibes, Aesthetic

Cons: Main dish portion runs small

Go here when visiting Lisbon

Very good food. I went here for a late lunch on my last day in Lisbon. Ideal spot to close of my citytrip. Very good soup to start and the main was very tasty as well! They only had one of their dishes left (the no duck rice) and it did not dissapoint! Definitely try the kombucha

Pros: Very tasty food, Calm atmoshere, The kombucha

Cons: Too full to try their dessert after soup and main
