Knowing that there are few vegan options in Narvik, I chose Peppes Pizza because I read it had one vegan pizza on the menu. While I agree with the previous reviewers that more options would be nice, I enjoyed the only vegan pizza they had. I was surprised by how long it took for the pizza to arrive as they had only a few guests. Luckily, I had enough time and was even able to hang out a bit longer until my train departed. I was also surprised by the high price as this is only a pizza chain.

Only one vegan pizza - Edit
Peppes Pizza used to offer several vegan pizza options in the past but they are down to one single option now. This is rather sad. It is still sometimes your only chance to get vegan food at a restaurant when travelling in Norway. Peppes Pizza in Narvik is centrally located inside the Amfi store center close to the train station. The pizza was tasty.

Nice pizza in small town - Edit
We got the “oh my garden” pizza, which was “American-style”. Topped with lots of vegetables, no cheese and vegan aioli. Was really good although the only option. Large portions!

Nice veg pizza - Edit
No more Oumph pizza here anymore but I had the Oh My Garden pizza and it was pretty good! Labels are really clear. This pizza is vegan without any modifications. Thick pizza with tomato, onion, mushrooms, olives, avocado and kale, topped with aioli.

I had the "oh my garden!" pizza which was loaded with lots of different vegetables and topped with aioli instead of cheese. It was really good and actually nicer (and more creative) than simply replacing the cheese with some vegan cheese :)

Oumph pizza ftw - Edit
Ordered the Oumph pizza with extra avocado and chilli aoili and it was AMAZING! They even had brownie with mango sorbet for dessert. Only drawback was the lack of plantbased milk for coffee. Will definitely go again. Saved family dinner. Even grandpa ate the pizza. Super tasty. The can customise almost any desire you have. The mushrooms where also super tasty. 👌

The Oumph pizza is AMAZING! - Edit
We do not have many restaurants with vegan options in this city (unless it’s fries or a plain salad🙃). So I really enjoy the vegan options they have here.
Read moreI do agree with some of the comments about the staff. They can seem annoyed and lazy, but since I live here I do not think much about it (used to it, and some say it’s typical Norwegian, but note that not everyone is like that).

I ate a tasty Even Greener Garden pizza. Service was kind but a tad slow probably because the restaurant was full when we arrived.

Excellent pizza - Edit
Never expected my first vegan pizza without a cheese substitute would be this good! I tried the oumph pizza and it was delicious and very filling. The staff was also friendly and welcoming.

Arrived two hours before closing yet the restaurant was in near darkness, and staff seemed irritated that we were there. I ordered a vegan pizza with vegan aioli, which was listed on the menu, and was told that they were out of aioli, so I said, that is no problem - could I have a pizza without aioli, but with a little extra tomato sauce or olive oil so that it was not too dry? The server rolled his eyes and asked if I wouldn't prefer guacamole on it instead, and knowing that many places add dairy sour cream to this, I asked to clarify if the guacamole was vegan. Again he rolled his eyes and retorted, "Why wouldn't it be? It's just avocado!" I was frustrated but as this was a Sunday night and most places were shut, I felt like I had to stay and so asked my partner, who spoke better Norwegian, to order me anything vegan, and I finally received a tomato and vegetable pizza, which was ok, but nothing special. The portion size was great, and it was not too dry, but the flavour of very bland. Whilst we were eating, the server came over and asked if we could pay immediately, so that he could focus on a delivery, so we did not even get the chance to consider a dessert or second beer. It was ok to fill hungry stomachs, but this would not be my first choice!
