Worth the visit - Edit
Certainly worth the visit, especially if one chooses to walk up the hill from the beach.
Read moreThe menu changes on a daily basis.
There are usually at least one or two vegan options for most courses.

Very Nice if Limited Vegan Options. - Edit
Pen-y-Bryn is a popular gastropub situated in Colwyn Bay with ocean views overlooking Rhos-on-Sea. I called in at 2 pm during the busy new years period, but we were shown to a table and received friendly and efficient service.
Read morePen-Y-Bryn change their menus daily, but there are always vegan starters, mains, and desserts available. The options during my visit included a Porcini mushroom consommé and Roast pumpkin, sage, and Pearl Barley Risotto as starters, a Goan Aubergine, Butternut Squash, and Chickpea Curry as a main and Mincemeat, and Almond Bakewell Tart and Lemon, Raspberry and Blackcurrat Sorbets as dessert. The menu also had a section of Light Bites, which included no vegan options, and the vegan sides included Chunky Chips and Side Salad. A changing menu with limited vegan options could be a problem for many vegans, so I suggest visiting their website for the latest menu or calling ahead for the vegan options.
There is a lovely community atmosphere at this pub, and the service was great, too. I only had the main course, which was aromatic and very tasty. Pen-Y-Bryn offers far better vegan options than your average pub, I'd just like to see a few more of them if I were to visit again and increase my 3 star rating.
Pros: Changing Daily Vegan Options, Vegan Options Labelled, Multiple Vegetarian Option, Interesting Vegan Options
Cons: Alcohol Menu Not Labelled, Only 1 Vegan Main On During Visit
