Who knew Ft. Wayne knew vegetarian?

Remarkable vegetarian deli fare: Angie has put her decade plus experience as a vegan to providing burgers, sandwiches and desserts. Try the beet burger and the black bean burger. Don't pass up the vegan brownie!! The gluten free options were amazing. I loved the gluten free doughnut with rainbow sprinkles.

It’s ok for vegans/vegetarians w/o food allergies, but gluten-free is lacking.

The gluten-free bread is bad. It crumbles before you can eat a sandwich, so that’s money wasted. Been like this for years. Their g-free vegan bakery desserts are hit or miss. Main dishes are not usually g-free and almost always have onion or wheat components. I always leave hungry.

Fantastic spot for vegans!

Great people here! Was a bit disappointed when I learned that the tofu scramble and pancakes were on Saturday only. But, the crew worked with me for a great substitute.

Was very pleased! Best vegan muffin I’ve ever had!

Pros: Lots of Vegan options, Great people

Cute & Delicious

Pembroke has tons of vegan options. I've had several menu items and I've never been disappointed. They allow you to pretty much craft your own sandwich with their options/ingredients and it's amazing. Always very friendly service.

House Made pickled cabbage

A cute little cafe inside of the Auer Center. All baked goods are vegan with a large portion being gluten free as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was reasonably priced and tasted pretty good. They have compostable utensils and paper straws as well as carry out boxes. I got the Rueben and it would have been not the most flavorful except that pickled cabbage was delicious. The chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon roll, and scone I got was Devine. I will definitely be back here.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Lots of gluten free options, Environmentally concious

Cons: Not all vegan, They don't have their own building

Downtown in the Art Center

Family run..Lots of vegan options. Had tthree items. Beet burger didn't disappoint. Spinach dish was perfect savory. Lentil soup is what you would expect. Great Place for a quick bit.

Pros: Vegan options. And they make home made.

Cons: Room to eat though not a dinning place.

Great, friendly bakery

Four or five different vegan sandwiches with all the fixings, along with daily specials, full bakery and desserts. Not only was the vegan good 5-star worthy, you could tell the gentleman running it had a heart of gold.

Tasty sandwiches and bakery in downtown Fort Wayne

My Dad and I went to Pembroke for lunch on a recent trip to Fort Wayne. The owners appear to be a Mother and daughter team, both were very friendly and suggested favorites on the menu… which was especially helpful for my dad, who is not vegan. He ordered the flatbread and I had the cluck sandwich… both were fresh and tasty, and we enjoyed them very much. I also ordered chocolate chip cookies, which I thought were just okay... however, they were quite popular for other customers who I overheard raving about them. There was a cooler with all types of tees and other beverages, too.

The space was comfortable, and posted on the walls and with books on the table that provided lots of information about activities around town, including hiking trails and special events… a valuable resource for folks visiting Fort Wayne.

Good Food, Excellent Bakery

I loved this cafe. It was very vegan friendly, the staff were kind and knowledgeable, and I sampled several items with perfect flavor combinations. Lots of gluten-free stuff too, that didn't taste like cardboard and was actually really, really tasty!

Pros: Vegan, Dessert, Inexpensive

Cons: Ate too much, Depressed it's far away, Now I'm hungry
