heerlijk gegeten!

Vriendelijk personeel, heerlijke gerechten en veggie/ vegan proof!

Pros: veggie / vegan proof

Cons: klein restaurant, niet echt in een gezellige sfeervolle buurt

Not so sure how vegan friendly the chef is

I called beforehand and was told that vegan was not a problem. We got a warm welcome and was told that the thali could be made vegan with a few substitutions so I went for that. Then another waitress came who raised her eyebrows and was a bit less enthusiastic. I told her what her colleague had said and got an "oh yeah" response.
When the meal came, I had to wait for the paratha because the chef had made naan instead (which contains milk). Then when that came it was shiny with ghee so had to be replaced.
All in all the service is good but I would really advise emphasising that you need 100% dairy free food and that you will not accept anything else if you're vegan and/or lactose/milk intolerant.

Cons: The chef seemed to have an off-day, Not really aware of what vegan is, We sat by the window/door which was a bit cold

Nice location, good food

We chose this restaurant as it was listed here as being veg-friendly. We were a group of four with two omnivores, one flexitarier and me being vegan. After I explained what vegan means, the service could offer some meals and I decided to go for the chick peas which were very tasty. I also had a lentils soup as starter. The dishes were fresh made and tasty and came in the wished degree of hotness.
Maybe the restaurant is not that authentic and we missed out some specialisation (like north Indian food, or Tamil or specialities from Sri-Lanka), but all in all it was a pleasant stay there with good food.

Pros: friendly staff, fresh made food, good value

Lots of vegan options

A nice restaurant and take away (home delivery) for Indian food in Almere. Has lots of vegetarian and vegan options which you can order as a side dish or as a main course.
If you choose for home delivery, the portions are always really large.
