So many vegan options all bursting with flavor - Edit
This will go down as one of my most memorable meals ever. It was an evening where I had to sit back and be thankful for the Happy Cow community for alerting me to this place, and additionally served as a reminder as to just how helpful these reviews can be. My partner and I came here last night with already high expectations and were not disappointed. The first thing we noticed was that they were proudly advertising their vegan options on signs outside the restaurant--always a good start! All of the vegan options (on a separate marked section of the menu!) sounded good so it was very difficult to decide. When selecting from the menus (combinations) we did have a bit of confusion about picking sides but eventually we settled on some choices with the help of a sweet woman working (she seemed like maybe the owner of the restaurant; an absolute delight who was more patient with us than we deserved considering how busy it was when we arrived). We chose to get the mains of soya chunks and tofu saté/gado gado. Both options came with rice, and sambal goreng tempeh and a selection of sides. For sides we picked different ones from each other and just ended up splitting it all. I think I had the Sayur Lodeh (vegetable stew) and Tahu taugé (tofu bean sprouts) on my plate and my partner's came with sweet/sour cucumber pickles and they picked the sambal goreng green beans as their vegetable side. We also were served cassava crackers!
Read moreThere wasn't a single miss for me on the table--seriously. We were both doing little dances after bites the Whole. Meal. First, the soya chunks were so well marinated the flavor literally penetrated through the whole "meat". We kept getting spoonfuls of the sauce to put over our rice. The texture of the chunks was also unreal. The saté sauce for the tofu and gado gado was the best I'd ever had with a delicious fresh lime leaf flavor embedded in it. The tofu was also perfectly fried and flavorful on its own without the sauce (again all the way through the tofu!). The tempeh I could happily live off of for the rest of my life.
The portions were extremely generous and considering the amount of variety and flavor on the plates we felt like it was really good value for the price. There were some tasty sounding vegan dessert options we'll have to come back and try when we have room left in our stomachs... we WILL be back. I felt like we were treated like family here. I would recommend a reservation. It's small and we were lucky to get a table!
Pros: Many FLAVORFUL options, Sweet staff, felt like a home-cooked meal, Generous portions/fair pricing
Cons: Would love a vegan fried nasi or bami option

Flavor party! - Edit
I love the food here. We started ordering here when we just moved to the city. They once sent me a bottle of wine when I told them it was my birthday dinner, lol. You can get a vegan 'rijsttafel' for two, which lasts us two days.
Read moreFor the same price you can eat in the restaurant, which doesn't look like much compared to some other places, but that's how you can tell the food is going to rock, right? Priorities! We were the only diners inside and we got lots of personal attention from the owner/cook. We got deserts to go (love the vegan pandan pancakes with coconut filling) and I got some extra rice for my leftover. I would recommend menu 2 (the one with lots of peanut sauce < 3) over the rendang jackfruit, which was a bit salty for my taste. But still super flavorful so I'll be back for sure.
Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff
Cons: Don't go if you're on a low salt diet :P

The best Indonesian food in the region - Edit
This is the best indonesian food in the region, with an amazing menu of vegetarian and vegan options! Take for example the vegan menu 2 with tofu, indonesian green beans and sate tofu/tahu which is absolutely fantastic. You also have rendang jackfruit and vegan chunks ketjap. They also have vegan kue dadar which is a coconut pancake which goes for an amazing dessert. Prices are decent too for the Netherlands and the staff is very kind! Overall I can really recommend the place, staff knows about veganism and it is a big plus that the veg foods are in a different section. The menu has it clearly labeled too. Go try it out

Lekker lekker - Edit
I took the 1 person menu 2 which is a vegan mini rice table with the red/brown Jasmin rice for take away. Big portion for a reasonable price 17,50 euros. It is also possible to have this with white rice.

Love this place, will surely visit next time I'm in Nijmegen - Edit
Pasundan in Nijmegen has a very (VERY) tasty vegan rice table menu. Loved it ❤ Nice variety of flavors and textures, loads of amazing food to share and thoroughly enjoy. Though it is a small restaurant, we had dinner with five people and had a really good time. Very nice staff as well.

Really tasty and generous portions - Edit
Just had a vegan menu to go and it always makes me happy. Satésaus, tofu, tempé, beans and veggies in generous portions. If it wasn't so delicious it would easily be enough for two. What more do you want? Some empin! We'll, you get that too. Also, they have a seperate vegan menu where you can choose from a variety of vegan dishes. I always go for the "vegan menu" (see picture) cause I can't choose. All dishes are labeled so if you are glutenintolerant or have any other known allergies you can easily screen the menu.
