Amazing quality deserves 10 stars

Some of the best food I've ever had. I've had their pesto pasta, pasta with pink sauce and vegan meatballs, everything is absolutely stellar I've had from them. Definitely a bit pricier than your average fair, really nice place to go for a special occasion. Definitely make reservations if you're dining in, or you'll have to spend hours waiting 😅

Delicious food, nice experience

They have started to take a limited number of reservations and allow you to put your name on a wait-list by phone or internet, but we didn't want to chance it, so we arrived at 4pm and got a table right away. We enjoyed sitting outside in the front, but would request the courtyard next time for a more romantic/quiet setting.
The menu is seasonal. Right now they have two on menu entrees (Impossible meatball riggies, Rose Primavera), as well as 3 vegan sauces(basil pesto, vegan pink cream, marinara)to go with any of the vegan pasta options. They also have an appetizer "caprese" made with vegan ricotta, which makes at least three vegan cheeses on the menu (along with feta in the primavera, Parm on the riggies). We loved the primavera and the caprese. They always have at least one vegan dessert. The strawberry lemonade cake today was creative, but was just ok for us. Service was attentive (leaning perhaps slightly too attentive between all of the staff checking in and stopping by). Staff is knowledgeable. Bread is excellent.
For the quality food and service, the price is reasonable. We had 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 espresso, 1 after dinner port and it was $135 tip.

Good but long wait

Yummy vegan pink sauce and the vegan meatball like melts in your mouth- so good.

Heads up: They often struggle with wait times and we’ve had to wait 45 min before for our food to come out, which is a long time to be in a small crowded restaurant after already waiting 30min for our call ahead seating to be pushed back. I know from service experience that things like this happen, however that has been our experience all FOUR times we’ve been there over the last 2 years.

I only mention this here because despite the yummy dishes I would have wanted to know what kind of time commitment I was in for the first time I went.. obviously it can be worth it if you have excellent company!

Pros: Vegan meatball is delicious, Choices of fresh pasta style , Offer mocktails

Cons: Expensive, Expect a wait, Loud atmosphere

Several excellent vegan items

Popular, cool-vibe restaurant with fabulous service, great for special evenings, 3 vegan entrees clearly marked: pasta with vegan vodka sauce, pasta with vegan pesto, and spicy pasta with vegan meatballs. One of the two dessert offerings were vegan, a rich chocolate torte with vegan whipped cream and a fruit sauce. 2 of the 3 salad dressings were vegan. Does not take reservations but they do have online wait list. Plan to arrive early to avoid wait, or put your name down and then go for a walk or go out for a drink then come back. Really nice place, worth the wait.

Pros: Creative vegan options, Cool, special vibe, Excellent friendly service

Cons: Need to arrive early to avoid wait

Great Food but Hard to get in

Pastabilities has a very limited vegan menu but their vegan pesto pasta is TO DIE FOR. My one issue with this restaurant is how difficult it is to get a seat. I strongly recommend making reservations if you plan to go in a weekend. I have only ever made it in it eat on weekdays by getting there right when the it opened. I have tried on the weekend and even waited in line before it opened to end up being told by the time I got inside that the wait would be over 1 hour because reservations take priority to anyone waiting in line.

One vegan pasta

This is clearly one of the best restaurants in Syracuse. My review is limited to the vegan choices. (My spouse and my friends love everything they have eaten there.) I agree with nearly everything that Theresa Stowell says in her review. To summarize my 3 star rating this is a very good restaurant with very limited vegan options.

The restaurant is now opening at 4 pm during covid and we went last night right when they opened. We easily got a table in the small rear outdoor patio on a warm night. There are only two entrees that are vegan - both pasta dishes. Unfortunately all of their home made pastas are non vegan except for the Campanelle. Even the whole wheat fettuccine is not vegan. I assume there is egg in them. I am actually wfpb so I had to compromise and get the Campanelle. I had the vegan pesto sauce and a side salad. Both were very good. I also ordered the vegan carrot cake which was good. The other entree option is pasta with marinara sauce and beyond meat meatballs. I'm not sure how healthy the beyond meat is but I had the dish the last time we went and they tasted good. Again you are limited to the Campanelle. The best thing about this restaurant is that the stretch bread and hot dipping sauce is vegan (but with the amount of oil in the sauce it is not wfpb). I will check their fall menu and return only if there is something more interesting on it.

Delish take-out!

Because of Covid-19, our meal was to-go and it smelled so good, we ate it in the car curbside. We ordered 2 vegan salads and 2 main meals: Vegan (Beyond) Meatball Riggies and Vegan Basil Pesto. The salads were normal garden salads, nothing special. However, both hot entrees were outstanding. The meatballs are made with Beyond Beef and their own special ingredients. You can order additional meatballs as a side dish. The Basil Pesto had lots of pine nuts which I love!

Their homemade bread is also vegan so carb lovers like me can pig out. They also have a vegan pink vodka cream sauce. They also own a bakery across the street with several vegan options and grab-and-go sauces.

Cons: Busy place, plan ahead

Great vegan options

This has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Syracuse and now that they offer vegan options for appetizer, entree, and dessert, they still are! Great place for date night. Great service, drinks, and food! Menu changes regularly!

Pros: Vegan options for app, entree and dessert, Great service, Delicious food

Cons: Not full vegan, Popular so they can get very busy, Hot tomato oil has honey

So fresh

I loved this place more years ago when I was a vegetarian, but as a vegan it still holds up. I do miss the signature dish which includes honey unfortunately.

Pros: Great selection, Super fresh ingredients

Cons: Signature dish (spicy hot tomato oil) is not vegan

So good

They had a lot of different vegan options I tried the vegan pesto pasta and it was really good I’ve missed pesto a bit so it was a nice refresher they also had vegan chocolate cake balls but I didn’t try them out (too stuffed from the pasta) but my mom had the non vegan version and she said they were amazing (more like a moose than a cake) so they can’t be too different the waiter was also very knowledgeable about everything vegan and their menu was labeled for vegan options it’s also a very busy restaurant so the wait is around 30 minutes so I highly recommend calling ahead and asking if they are busy but they do not take reservations

Pros: Vegan options , Kind staff , Vegan dessert

Cons: Kinda expensive , No reservations

Only a few vegan options

The options listed on here have changed, they have a seasonal menu. We got the vegan roasted beets and blood oranges over an almond puree for an appetizer which was amazing, then for our entree we both got the vegan carbonara. It was okay, very very rich and we both felt so heavy after dinner but we aren't used to having so much pasta. The apple cranberry cobbler with coconut whipped cream for dessert was amazing on the other hand, all around I felt like this was a good meal for a date night. Next time I want to try their vegan pesto pasta!

Pros: Vegan dessert which was fabulous

Cons: Expensive, carbonara was too rich
