Papa Bear

The website indicates a fair amount of Vegan options, however in person there were less possibilities.

Saying that, the café owner was very accommodating and willing to make something up on the spot in terms of a salad or sandwich. In fairness, we did arrive later than lunchtime therefore less supplies were on hand than what would have probably been the case.

Would definitely return to try other menu items as we were served a fairly decent roast vegie salad and good coffee this time around.

Papa bear does not appear to adhere to the menu on their website, we visited around 2pm on a friday (perhaps a bit late in the day?) and there were no Vegan mains available. They were however very willing to create meals for us including baguettes, wraps & the roast vegetable salad which we had and did enjoy. The soup of the day (wonton soup) was also Vegan and there were a couple of Vegan slices etc on display which were unfortunately gone by the time we finished our mains.

The staff were very friendly and willing and I believe that Papa Bear has a lot of potential if Vegans visit and ask for Vegan food! The website http://www.papabear.com.au/#!menu/c1jo3
does suggest that they have a definite interest, having a Vegan section and clearly marked Vegan offerings.

The coffee was also a great deal better than what is available in many places
