Serves meat, vegan options available. Located on the beach with panoramic views of St Brelade’s Bay from all tables. Offers internal and outside bar areas for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails. Has a vegan and veggie section in the menu with clearly labelled vegan dishes such as a coconut and lentil or Thai vegetable curry. Also has a pineapple carpaccio for dessert. Open Tue-Sun 12:00pm-2:30pm, Tue-Thu 6:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 6:00pm-9:30pm. Closed Mon.

Good vegan food

Went to catch up with some family, although the restaurant is very seafood-focused, there was a veggie/vegan section of the menu that had 2 vegan options. I had the lentil mujadara, which was very tasty, and included tofu, which most restaurants seem to shy away from. I also had the pina colada rice pudding for dessert, which was nice, and there was also pineapple ‘carpaccio’ on offer, which was interesting but seemed expensive for what it was. I liked the sound of the vegan king oyster mushroom ‘scallops’ as a starter, but 3 course meal would set you back quite a bit at the oyster box, although the vegan options were a fair bit cheaper than the meat + seafood. It is rare to find a higher-end restaurant serving good vegan food! Also, the staff receive a living wage so tipping is not necessary.

Delicious tofu

Went to Jersey on honeymoon and booked Oyster Box for a treat. I had the roast butternut squash which was gorgeous, the tofu melted in my mouth, would love to know how they cook it! There wasn’t much on the menu for vegans but it’s a fish restaurant so to be expected. It’s very expensive but worth splashing out for a special occasion. Really nice atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and the food was fantastic.

Pros: Stunning views , Delicious food, Friendly staff

Cons: Expensive , Not a huge amount of choice for vegans
