Excellent vegan find, if you can get there! - Edit

This place is really far away from the touristy areas. It was probably a good 20 mins walk down the beach after everything stopped. Eventually there is a sign, but some locals wanted to charge me for using that path. So I walked along the beach another 10m or so and you do come to a SEALED road (the first one you'll see, the rest are dirt tracks) and if you go up that past the hotel, turn left and you'll see it. Alternatively, if you get the colectivo from town, then it should be fine.

Having said all that, it was worth the trek. Most of the menu is vegan and the prices are very reasonable (see photo I've uploaded). I had the vegan burger and it was delicious. I would like to have tried more things but I was only here two days and did not get another opportunity.

I'm giving it 5 cows for the food, but 3 for the location!

Pros: Good vegan options, Good value

Cons: Far away and hard to find

Vegan/Vegetarian comida exist in PUERTO :) - Edit

The food at Osa Mariposa is amazing. ”WOW!” is definitely an under statement. All the food is freshly made from scratch and they only use/buy locally grown or produced products. My favorite items on the menu are the Falafel sandwich, followed by a close second is the Black Bean Burger and the hummus plate is also very yummy!
If you like Mezcal, they have a great selection of locally made Mezcal that is very smooth & tasty.
Also, the environment at Osa is so tranquil & the staff is so friendly that it really makes it a great place to hang out at.

If you are in Puerto Escondido vegan/vegetarian or not Osa is a must on places to check out :)

Pros: Amazing Staff, Beautiful facility , They serve great Mezcal :)

Cons: not , a , one :)

Unique place! Not to miss! - Edit

I'm so glad I stumbled on to this hidden treasure! Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood of Puerto Escondido near to Zicatela Beach I found the Osa Mariposa and couldn't quit eating there during my stay in town.

They make their own tempeh, tofu, breads, burgers... everything. All vegan based! Holy cow. And soooooo good. A traveling vegetarian can't miss out on this experience. Eating f*$%* delicious vegetarian food in an incredible tropical garden with the sound of the waves in the background. It's like a little puddle of heaven.

Don't miss it!!!

(I ran into this place by chance. Later I found that most taxi drivers know it. It's in a neighborhood called "Brisas de Zicatela" near to La Punta. A diamond in the rough!)

Pros: Friendly service., Lovely, artistic atmosphere., Positive energy.

Cons: Bring mosquito spray.
