Best Beyond Burger in North Georgia!

Truthfully, the North Georgia Mountains does not have a great selection of vegan options which can be difficult for many seasonal residents and hikers visiting the Appalachian Trail and gorgeous state parks.

However, Ol' Clyde's Table and Tavern happens to have some of the best food that can be easily customized for a vegan or vegetarian diet.

The highlight is of course their beyond burger which although not being anything crazy is usually a staple meal of my time in the area. Many different sides and a house salad can be paired with it. For vegetarians and/or vegan standard bar fare such as sweet potato fries, french fries, fried pickles, and avocado fries are highlights on the menu.

Like all restaurants in the area, be sure to check ingredients with your server and be aware of the high likelihood of a shared grill/kitchen.

Although controversial in the vegan community, but much more engrained in North Georgia culture, the bar pays tribute to duck hunting and features a few stuffed ducks and deer as well as hunting decoys and other related objects. Hunting and conservation have a complex history and that is not what this review is about, but if that makes you uncomfortable, I would avoid this restaurant. If not, they have one of the best vegan options with heavy protein in the area. There has not been a single visit where the staff was not understanding of my diet and respectful.
