Mediocre cocktails and not great food

One dish was made vegan by removing a major component. Same price, no changes to account for the removal.

The flavor profiles were just confusing. Fried oyster mushrooms came with a chili sauce, pickles, and peanuts. The hummus was heavy on tahini, so it tasted like hummus mixed with peanut butter. The beets tasted like canned beets. The zatar seasoned bread was excellent, as was the eggplant and pomegranate spread.

We enjoyed two of the four cocktails we ordered a lot. One cocktail was just not great, while the other was just mediocre.

The vibe and dish style is very similar to Strange Town, but Strange Town does everything a lot better. Unless you've got meat eater friends who refuse to eat vegan, skip this place for Strange Town instead.

Pros: Decent selection of vegan options

Cons: Pricey, Confused flavor profiles , Not great cocktails

Fabulous vegan small plates

Several small plates available with delicious vegan options. Staff are extremely helpful to help navigate the menu and make suggestions. Flavors are excellent and small plates are filling.

Five stars in reality, if not on Happy Cow

I loved having dinner here. The food is interesting, inventive, and delicious. Fully half of the small plates are vegetarian, and most can be made vegan. Vegans, you won't be having "the option." Everything was good, and though the menu changes, I'll mention the salatim platter because the za'atar seasoning on the bread was perfect. There was only one vegan dessert when we were there, a very tasty rice pudding with figs. The only weird thing is that they don't have any non-dairy milk or cream for the coffee, so if you want coffee, it's cream or black.

I really liked the atmosphere of the dining room--good for dates--but it was, by design, a little loud for my taste. In small plates restaurants, the pacing of the service can sometimes be a little odd, but that wasn't the case here; the staff seemed very well organized. I always enjoy visiting Milwaukee, but this restaurant alone probably makes me even more likely to plan another trip there.

Pros: Inventive and interesting, Special occasions

Cons: Loud

amazing

The oyster mushrooms, jerk cauliflower, and hummus platter were amazing, a little pricey but worth it, they are very accommodating for vegans which I appreciated

Pros: a lot of vegan options

Fancy vegan date night!

Odd Duck is an excellent option for when you want a fancy dinner! They have a seasonal menu, with vegan options clearly labeled and all the staff are well versed on them. Let them know you’re vegan and if you have any food allergies and you’ll be well taken care of!

Pros: Farm to table, Upscale dishes, Vegan options are clearly labeled

Swanky little place with small plates

I love the food here. The cooks are fantastic. It's small, so you may want to make a reservation. If you're alone, you can usually get a seat at the bar pretty quickly though. Ask the server what is vegan that day (the menu changes frequently) and they'll bring you a marked up menu of all the vegan options. They have always had great options to choose from and the servers must get to taste each of the dishes each day because they always give good suggestions & descriptions of things. They make great mixed drinks. The menu is mostly small plates, so you'll end up choosing a few different dishes to try.

Pros: Beautiful space, Great cooks, Vegan oprions

Cons: Expensive, Small plates
