I loved Oakhouse as a UNH student and years later I still make the trek back to the area just to eat here. The menu rotates so there’s always something new to try when I’m there! If No Face Fries are on the menu it’s an absolute MUST.

I'd give this 5 starts if the app let me. It does have non-vegan/vegetarian options, BUT it's a great place to bring anyone, regardless of diet. Big plus that they have seitan and any burger patty can be seitan based too

The Oak House is the perfect spot for vegans and those who are not. Something for everyone. There’s tons of great vegan options wings, burgers, loaded fries, glizzys and more! The wings are the best vegan wings I’ve had so far. They’re made of seitan. My go to is the peanut sauce .

Regardless of how Happy Cow restricts their rating system, this place is one of the best restaurants in New Hampshire for vegans. Many options and usually half of their specials are vegan. Casual but friendly atmosphere. The food is always cooked and prepared well. Dedicated fryer for vegan dishes. Moderately priced menu.

Great vibe, friendly staff, multiple vegan options clearly marked on menu. Meal I enjoyed this time around was called the “Levar Burton” a sandwich of sweet chili cauliflower, pickled veggies, cucumber, cilantro, sriracha & basil vegan mayo on toasted French bread.

This place is not all vegetarian or vegan, but serves up some of the best vegan food in New Hampshire. There are plenty of vegan options, and they are clearly not just an afterthought: seitan/tofu wings with various sauces, vegan hot dogs, vegan sandwiches, vegan burgers. Sometimes they have vegan desserts. This place has become a favorite for us. The booths are comfortable and the staff is attentive. While there, I recommend taking a walk in town over to the river and seeing the waterfall near the old mill.

I love this place so much. It is my go-to when I want takeout. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the menu has many vegan options that are easy to identify, and the food is delicious! Very reasonable prices for the quality and amount of food served. I recommend this place to everyone, vegan or not!

They’ve got a solid number of options, ranging from the deep fried to the healthy. I got the BBQ sammie, which was pretty good. It was lacking in flavor (the jackfruit needed to be simmered in the bbq sauce longer), but still satisfying. The salad that came with it wasn’t good, so I recommend the fries instead.

Nothing blew me out of the water, but I’m giving it 4 starts because I’ve yet to find this many vegan options at a restaurant in NH.

We had a great meal here. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu had multiple great options for vegans (all vegan items were in green which make it super easy to sort out), and a great beer selection. We had the giant egg roll, the buff chick sandwich, and the Robert California. All of it was great and there were a bunch of other options we want to try when we come back again

I got a tofu scramble sandwich and my mom got the wrap. I loved it besides the vegan mayo (which I was never accustomed to mayonnaise as a non-vegan lol). Cute atmosphere right in the downtown and friendly, diverse staff! Can’t wait to go back and try their lunch food!

Phenomenal vegan options. For an American bistro/bar, Oak House should be the new standard in offering its customers non meat-based options. It really should be the rule and not the exception in 2018. Sadly, it's not, so they should be commended and supported.
