Came by for lunch and was impressed by the food and the portions! Thought it was a bit pricey, but the portion size easily made up for it. Burger was good and came with a small soup.
Read moreMy only note was that the cheese had that coconut-y aftertaste, but that can be tough to avoid with melting cheeses.

Food Packed with Flavor - Edit
I went here for the first time on Valentine's Day. It was a little packed in there but that just told me that a lot of people liked their food. Atmosphere was nice and staff was really friendly. I love a fully vegan menu. I got a good helping of food as well. So I was fluffed and stuffed. My boyfriend (omnivore) picked this restaurant and said that this is the most flavorful vegan restaurant he has gone to. We both loved the food and would absolutely come back.

What a meal. Absolutely delicious. Portions are huge, depending on the meal, and wide variety of options. The flavor was amazing and everything was fresh. Decor was cute and service was spot on. Would definitely go back if we lived closer.

Has gone down hill. - Edit
This place used to be an absolute favorite but it has been steadily declining for the last year. Service gets slower and food is less consistent. Constant menu changes are not only disappointing but take the place of amazing dishes. Empanadas are great if you can get there when they have them.

Wrong empanada AGAIN - Edit
When I go here I get the empanadas. The lunch special used to be 3 empanadas for $9.99 sauce included. Then it was 3 empanadas for $9.99 and $1 for the sauce. Today I was told it’s 2 empanadas for $8 and the sauce was included. I was okay with the change until I got to my desk expecting a pizza empanada I ordered but was surprised with faux chicken one. Very annoying and they’ve done this before. As far as the empanadas, they need a better system to make sure people are getting what they ordered. Especially since you can’t tell what’s inside the empanada until you take a bite.

We got the birria tacos and La Bandera plate to share. The broth with the tacos was very tasty and had a slight kick to it. Everything was very flavorful. We definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. Also beware, the portions are pretty big here.

Home Cooked Meal and Comfort - Edit
Plenty of Parking garages all within 5 minutes of walk to restaurant. The staff so friendly and accommodating. Also checking in to see if we were satisfied and needed anything. The main course was BIG portion, definitely filling and lots of flavor. Coming from NJ and will be back.

I’m not trying to over rate this restaurant but it is my absolute favorite in the city. The food is 100/10!! I feel at home eating there and every season there’s a new menu. Definitely go and check them out. Favorites? The satisfaction, the sancocho, mofongo, empanadas, chofan… damn, everything!!!

There are not many options when it comes to plant-based Dominican food, and Next Stop Vegan is a solid option. We were trying to keep it healthy, so we stayed away from the epic burgers piled with deep fried mushrooms and a lot of the heavily fried appetizers. We started with the sancocho, a hearty and warming soup filled with root vegetables. Very good. Next, we had the Jamaican stew with kidney beans, homemade dumplings, and vegetables. This was DELICIOUS. Just packed with flavor. Tons of spice and plenty of fresh cilantro. This was our favorite dish. Our final dish was the plato clasico, their signature platter with rice, beans, plantains, sautéed veggies, and avocado. The black beans were delicious. The rest of the dish was good but not as memorable as the two soups. Also, we were disappointed that their menu included brown rice as an option, but they had run out (a little after 8pm on a Saturday). Bummer since all three dishes came with a mountain of rice. Overall, we had a good experience with tasty food, abundant portions, and really pleasant service.

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a great meal. The service and food were excellent. The ropa vieja and the sweet & spicy oyster mushroom burger were delicious, and the mac n cheese was declared by my partner as the best she’s ever had! Lovely house red wine, and we took home a couple of desserts for later - the oreo cheesecake and lemon bar. Lord have mercy! So good. Worth a visit to Brooklyn to eat here.
