UPDATE-APPEARS CLOSED DOWN 4/9/21

Enjoyed a tasty filling Lentil wrap & a great decaf coffee. The friendly & kind customer service was equally satisfying.

Fabulous!

I came here for lunch with a friend and we got served by the loveliest staff, Ado and Catherine, who were really accommodating. Our mezze boxes were presented prettily and so so yummy! I will definitely be coming back (and bringing my dog because they are dog friendly!)

Pros: Fully vegan , Super comfy outdoor seating , Really nice staff

Cosy café by the canal

We went for lunch today and had a burger, mushroom melt, vegan wrap, stew and sweet treats. Everything was delicious and very tasty. We were all very happy with our choices! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. I’d definitely recommend it and would love to go back to try the rest of the menu, as everything looked great!

Pros: 100% vegan, Friendly and helpful staff, Good prices

Tiny cafe with a big heart

Delicious food prepared with love. Mushroom sausage rolls are to die for! Plus they always spoil our dog with a homemade cookie. Highly recommended!

Vibrant, upbeat, yummy snug cafe

I was recommended to come to Nock Nock by a friend local to Sandyford. I just moved to Foxrock and I wanted to find a place locally with nice healthy food, a place to hang out, read, write and to take friends when visiting or for brunch/ lunch.

When I arrived the first time the room was warm, I got a big smile from Cat the owner and a comfortable seat in the corner where I could write and chill out. I find Cat has a fun heart like energy which is nice to be around. I had the falafel which is delicious especially all the sauce and bits around it.

I also had a pistachio cacao chocolate dessert which was incredible. I bought 2 more to take away as they aren’t too big. One had avocado and the other was banana and hazelnut.

I like to find lovely cafes to write in and on one occasion I ended up chatting to a lovely 90 year old man about life, philosophy and history. Another time I spoke to a lovely lady in her 30s about psychotherapy, quantum healing and health. Another time I brought a group of friends who aren’t Vegan or Vegetarian and they were shocked how nice the food was. They loved the jacket fruit curry and felt it was like pulled pork and the nachos which were quite healthy.

I’m really glad this cute, upbeat, yummy place has opened up. It’s great not to have to go in to town to find such a unique place. The fact that it’s also associated with a small pitch and put means there is a great mix of people in and out and people are friendly and chatty.

Overall I’ll be a regular customer and recommending Cats place for coffee, food, coming alone to read, chill or work a bit, in groups and for dog lovers as you get cute little doggy biscuits.

Disappointing

After a quick look at the five reviews all giving five stars, I decided to make a d-tour and visit this supposedly ‘cosy’ and ‘wonderful’ vegan spot. However, I failed to noticed some red flags from the reviews:

First, they were all written on the same day of November last year. Secondly, their ‘voice’ suspiciously similar (‘friendly owner’, ‘food that do not disappoint’, ‘best coffee’, ‘wonderful place’). And thirdly, my experience with the place and food were very disappointing.

The place is not only a café but also a mini golf rental office. Which is an interesting fact I wish I new. I came for breakfast on a week day,
Just before the school run rush. The nice lady there, which was not the owner, informed me that they only had the menu from the weekend and no hot food options. Since the place was pretty cold, the cakes and sausage roll were also cold. I ordered coffee which was weak and a sausage roll which was not fresh or tasty.

I wish this place a great and long future, with the support of the locals and their friends and family.
However, by making big claims in their reviews (‘best vegan in Dublin’?) will set ‘non-locals’ like me for disappointment. I’m sure their food, when fresh, is delicious. Unfortunately, I had no chance to try it and will not be coming back.

Pros: Good price

Cons: Far away from city centre , Not cosy , No hot breakfast

Little wonder

What a great little place! Perfect after a walk with the dog up Ticknock forest. They even do vegan doggy treats and my dog loves them. Peanut butter is the trick.

Pros: Food made fresh to order, Entirely vegan, Friendly

Cons: Tiny

Lovely vegan food.

Came here one Sunday with a friend and was so impressed by the lovely serves. The cafe itself was relaxed and cosy. We got a delicious soup and wrap with some lovely vegan treats after. Definitely will try again!

Best Vegan Cafe in Dublin

Ran by the gorgeous Catherine her love for all things living shines through her delicious savoury lunches and sweet treats. It’s hard to believe that those banana breads, wraps, falafel, salad dressings, chocolate treats (to name a few I’ve tried!) aren’t made using animal products! Obsessed with her food and cannot wait to visit again when back in Dublin. Make sure you drop in to try this food and be part of something wonderful!

Pros: Nutritious yummy food , Cosy atmosphere , Pet friendly

Fabulous Vegan Gem 🌱

I stumbled across this lovely cafe recently and I have returned every day since! Their coffees are probably the nicest I've ever tried and the nibbles to go with it are irresistible, I've tried a different one each time and each is tastier than before, I especially love the banana bread with nut butter, a perfect start to the day! I had the soup and homemade brown bread on another occasion and it was so comforting and full of flavour! This is a gorgeous spot and really well run, the lady serving is always so friendly and puts so much love into each dish! Lunch or nibbles, coffees or soups you won't be disappointed! The vegan treats are also a huge hit in my house, so nice to get the kids eating healthy treats!!!

Pros: Healthy , Tasty , Plenty of parking

Best vegan food in dublin!

I had the pleasure of dining in Nock Nock this week with some friends. I gather they have only recently opened in the area and I'm delighted to have a vegan restaurant so close by, especially since there are so few places which truly cater to the needs of vegans.

We were welcomed by very friendly staff, the owner is particularly lovely and you can see she has a real passion for vegan food and cooking. The menu is filled with delicious dishes, and there's something for everyone whether you're vegan or not, this food will not disappoint.

With my kids attending school next door, I can see this place becoming a regular haunt for many of the other mothers also doing the school run. I was especially happy to hear about the drive-through coffee too, which is very handy on a rushed morning!
Looking forward to my next visit

Pros: Excellent food, vegan friendly, good coffee, Friendly welcoming staff, Close to school
