Vegetarian hotpot

I love hotpot and jump at any opportunity to have it. Even better when the menu is fully vegetarian. The only non-vegan item I can recall is egg. There are a half dozen or so soup bases to select from (we picked the kimchi stew), and they come loaded with a bunch of veggies (corn, cabbage, squash, enoki, and more) plus a serving of noodles. You can then add more from the menu to round out a satisfying meal. There are lots of veggies from greens to root vegetables and lots of soy products.

It was very quiet at the restaurant. There were only three other customers besides my friend and me over the whole course of our meal. The owner was very friendly and helpful without being overly attentive. I thought we had maybe ordered too much—five items in addition to the base for two people—but it turned out to be the right amount. I was content at the end of the meal, and I didn’t have to unbutton my pants. I would have rated it a little higher, except I disliked the odor of the fuel that they used to heat the hot pot. We shared one soup base, and the whole meal for two came in under NT$400.

Nice veggie-hotpot place

Mini-hotpots for vegetarians. A nice little place with vegetarian hotpots with many fresh veggies, tofus and noodle inside. You can choose from soy milk/ vegtable/ kimchi/ tomatoes style. All of the ones we tried were delicious.
Just be aware that the owner doesnt speak English well. She is very nice but it can lead to a bit of confusion.
