Used to be great- no longer - Edit
Their prices have skyrocketed, portions have gotten way smaller, and ingredients not nearly as good. Still reasonably tasty pizza, but no longer worth the price at all.

This is our favorite place in San Diego for pizza. We do a build your own, but the Best Pesto Pizza is the closest option on the menu and it’s SO good. House made vegan cheeses, loaded heavy with veggie toppings (artichoke, bell pepper, caramelized onions plus more options), and a delicious vegan pesto and red sauce. Other vegan options include falafels, veggie bowls, sweet & savory breakfast options (all day) and always have some kind of vegan baked good (cookies, brownies, etc). But trust us, try the pesto pizza!!

Best GF Waffles - Edit
We ordered the farmers market, vegan egg scramble, and the gluten-free vegan waffles.
Read moreThe scramble with the chickpea eggs was really good. Had a variety of vegetables and was served with 2 little triangles of their nut and seed toast. They don’t have vegan butter, so the toast was dry, but still very flavorful.
Their gluten-free waffles were by far the best waffles we’ve ever had.
They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
They were served with fruit, strawberry sauce, some kind of creamy sauce.
We actually dipped the nut and seed toast in those sauces.
We also ordered their seasonal strawberry Matcha latte. It was sweet, but refreshing and creamy.
I would love to go back and try their other items.
In there, baked goods case it looked like they only had a vegan chocolate cupcake.
Despite there being only one person at the counter, taking your order and a long line, we received our food very fast.

Vegans beware! (Got food poisoning) - Edit
Been here multiple times and honestly loved it. However, last time I went I got a vegan pizza and the pizza came out super cold and tasted off. I just thought it was the tomato sauce but my friend tried it and we both agreed the cheese tasted weird. (I still ate it) The same night I 100% got food poisoning and my friend who got a regular cheese pizza didn’t have any side effects. I stay away from this place now and recommend any vegan should. Also everytime I’ve been the food always taste different, it’s not consistent.

Good and filling - Edit
Had a decent breakfast here. I got the vegan breakfast tacos. They were good and pretty filling though nothing I would come back for. The rose latte (half sweetness) was delicious. They also had a vegan muffin available but I didn't get to try it.

Good options - Edit
I've had a couple of experiences where they had my order wrong, but you just have to, specifically, loud and clear, that you order vegan. Otherwise, the food is good. I typically get their half veggie pizza or falafel taco plate.

A Great Vegan-Friendly Breakfast and Lunch Spot - Edit
Nectarine Grove is worth a visit! What I loved most was how clearly items were labeled, making it easy to spot vegan options or dishes that could be made vegan. My meal kicked off with their falafels, which were flavorful and satisfying. Although the taco was slightly on the dry side and could use a bit more refinement, it still hit the spot.
Read moreThe real highlight of the visit, though, was the cold coffee with mint. The freshness of the mint paired with the rich flavor of the coffee made for an incredible beverage that I’ll definitely be coming back for.
Though I didn’t have the chance to try the pastries, they looked absolutely delicious, and the breakfast items also caught my eye. With so many tempting choices, I’ll certainly be back to explore more of the menu.
Pros: Lots of vegan options including pastries, Coffee was exceptional, Quick service
Cons: Tacos a little on the dry side

NO upcharge for plant milk!! Almond and cashew milks are homemade (salt, vanilla, nut, water) and delicious. We all got the vegan breakfast tacos and were blown away. No processed anything. Homemade cashew cheese, chickpea egg, salsa, grain free tortillas.
