A diamond in the rough - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised at the variety this shop had to offer. The comprehensive collection trumps many health food stores I have been to. Paired with a friendly cafe (which stocks the renowned Funky Pies from Bondi), this is a must for both locals and visitors.
Read moreThe interior is quite rustic, which adds to the experience. The brown and cozy embrace makes the most of the small space. The store is geared more towards offering bulk foods and odd bits for your pantry. However, it also provides many hygiene products - soaps, toothpastes, etc. Overall, an advanced inventory, especially for being located in a smaller city like Newcastle.
The whole foods menu offers a variety of choice for a hungry vegan. There are wraps and sandwiches offered, but the Funky Pies products are always a safe bet. The innovative collaboration of an organic shop and cafe provides customers convenience and satisfaction; no matter what they choose to spend their time on.

Disappointing - Edit
The Lebanese wrap was just a tasteless version of a regular falafel with dairy yoghurt. First of all, who puts yoghurt sauce in a falafel? So without the yogurt it was too dry and I didn’t taste tahini or humus at all. The sweet potato wrap was a bit better, but still I wouldn’t go there again. I wanted to have the vegan choc brownie, but decided not to, after a rather disappointing meal.

Cute little vegan shop and cafe! - Edit
They sell a variety of vegan goods in their shop, as well as bulk goods and beauty products. The cafe has salads and burgers, and a sweets cupboard.

delicious tempeh burger - Edit
They had a selection of vegan burgers and some vego, that could be made vegan by the removal of dairy. I noticed they also had some vegan pies. There was a sweets cabinet, but I didn't check that out. Also had a vegan soup available on the day. I had the tempeh burger which was really yum.

Pros: delicious burgers, fast service
Cons: burgers a bit small, especially for a big eater

Perfect - Edit
Natural Tucker is a great little shop in town. It is well established and stocked with a good range of vegan products. Considering how little the shop is, the stock available is very comprehensive. Yesterday, I was able to just pop and and by delicious Adzuki Bean and Kumara burger. Yum!

mediocre at best - Edit
I had the Lebanese wrap and the Malaysian wrap. both really not great... bland food. first just tasted like full on parsley and second was just sweet chilli sauce. I can't recommend either of those wraps. maybe their other food is better. they have a decent amount of vegan options. but blah.
