Nice Eritrean food right in the station - Edit
It's been around for a while now, hope it stays, one of the better vegan options in Alkmaar! Nice vegan combo plate, always a bit of variation, always tasty, friendly staff, cheap prices, recommended!

Tasty food, plenty of choice and friendly staff. Lunch menu also suitable for dinner. - Edit
I got stranded at Alkmaar station around dinner time and saw this cosey cafe with clearly marked vegan options on their menu. I chose the Bebianetu, which is a combination of their vegan dishes with chick peas, spinach, lentils, a nice sauce, side salad and of course injera. The small portion was more than enough.

Next time that I get stranded in Alkmaar I know that I do not have to worry about finding a wholesome, nutritious meal.
