Friendly and good

The owner Ravi is South Indian and is friendly and understands vegan, lacto-vegetarian etc and knows definitively the ingredients in everything on the menu. I am lacto-vegetarian, as are most Indians, so it was easy to accommodate that but they can do a full thali/set course with just vegan items. The dosa was good and fresh, as was the chai and the soup and all the items. I got vegetable samosas to go. The owner assured us that fried items are died separately from meat items, including deep fryer is separate for vegetarian items.
Second floor walk up in narrow space between other shops. Look for sign.

Pros: Friendly knowledgeable owner, Reasonable prices , Veg items fried separately

Cons: No cons

great to find a place that can do vegan South Indian food

I messaged the restaurant on Facebook about vegan options and quickly received a list. They responded in English.

I tried peppermint tea for 250 yen and the South Indian course for 2300 yen. The owner made substitutions so it was all vegan. I had green salad with no dressing, a samosa and a vada with coconut sauce, lemon rice, sambar, and a dosa, and also got to choose one curry- I picked chana masala.

The owner was friendly and kind, the restaurant looked and even smelled clean, and the food was tasty- I particularly enjoyed the dosa, the vada with coconut sauce, and the lemon rice.

I just wish they had a vegan dessert option.

I would gladly return!

Edit: I went back without calling first and in that case, was told that the south indian plate, masala dosa and spicy masala dosa were vegan. The staff did understand my question and double checked with me that vegan meant no honey/dairy/egg etc. I had the spicy masala dosa and it was good

Nice Indian restaurant

Had a great experience at this place. Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and owner clearly knows the meaning of vegan!
Vegan is not labeled on the menu but the owner will help you out and explain what food is vegan.
Menu available in Japanese and English. Both languages spoken at the restaurant.

Location on HappyCow is a bit off. But using the restaurant name on google maps gives the correct address.

Pros: Good food, friendly staff & atmosph, non-smoking,
