Vegetarian South Indian restaurant est 1924. Has a range of dosas and idlis with sambar. Need to ask staff which dishes are vegan, as most are pre-made with ghee. Open Mon-Sun 8:30am-10:00pm.

South Indian food

It’s a veggie restaurant but not that vegan friendly. There’s no vegan labelled options and despite what we saw on social media about adaptations we were informed that only dosas and idli can be made vegan as they have ghee in everything else. We ordered a masala dosa and an onion rava dosa & fresh lemon sodas. You need to specify vegan and no butter, ghee, yoghurt. Really great flavours, enjoyable. The environment was nice, service was quick and helpful. They add on service charge & VAT (17%!) so it was quite pricey in the end.
