Good options

The brewery had a good handful of vegan options. The impossible burger on the veggie burger set was delicious, as well as the empanadas and hummus platter. The menu was very clearly labeled and the staff were super knowledgeable. Beer was good too. Overall a lovely experience here as a hungry vegan hiker looking for a big lunch

Pros: Lots of options, Empanadas!! (One of my favorite vegan finds)

If you made it this far just some commentary:

Tempeh:
Marinated but mostly plain

Veggie Patty:
Earthy-type patty so opt for Impossible if you want something hearty instead of lite

Pasta Salad:
Might feel lacking without goat cheese so add back a protein to add heartiness

Reuben:
“Made Vegan” removes the 1,000 Island so it isn't quite the same sandwich; personally wouldn't recommend ordering this

Arugula Pizza:
Without goat cheese it's no longer really a pizza but if you want pizza crust, grilled onions, arugula, and balsamic glaze it's not a bad option

Decent for the area

Got the veggie burger sans aioli and beer, tastes good and a solid option when in bishop

Great options!

They had an impossible burger and a house made veggie burger on a pretzel bun that can easily be made vegan (removing aoili). It was super tasty, and they put avocado!

The menu is very friendly and it's easy to ask for things to be made vegan! They also had 2 flavors of vegan ice cream (dragon fruit and pina colada)!

Mediocre this time

Several years ago I was super impressed! I had the vegan Tempeh rueben, was looking forward again. What I got was an unmarinated or sauced slab of Luke-warm tempeh on dry whole wheat toast with a scant tablespoon of sauerkraut. I asked for ketchup and mustard, no offer of other sandwich things - lettuce, onion, pickles, tomato - all of which would have helped.

I grow weary of the high-fat impossible/beyond burgers. I did not become a vegan because I enjoy the taste of meat! Come on people, how about some creativity?

The stars are for the 5oz size of their excellent beer.

Pros: A couple of options, Pleasant now that it is not crammed with tables, Good service

Cons: Disappointing tempeh Reuben , Tasteless fries

To veganize, remove flavor

The entree options are to change any burger to an Impossible patty ( $5!), to replace the burger with tempeh (the homemade patty is vegetarian, not vegan) or a tempeh reuben: to veganize, remove swiss cheese and 1000 island dressing (duh). There are no substitute vegan options for cheese or dressings. I added avocado ( $1.50) to put something on there...the tempeh is bland, as is the sauerkraut etc, so without the cheese or dressing there's no flavor. Sweet potato fries are good. Should have tried the brussel sprouts (though again labeled vegetarian, not vegan).

Pros: Good beer

Cons: Cost, No vegan substitutions

Best in bishop

Honestly best vegan food I’ve had in bishop so far. They have 2 options, a impossible burger and a tempeh steak burger that can be made vegan. Definitely suggest the tempeh steak with added avocado, soooo good

Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly staff, Really good burgers , Good fries

Cons: A tad pricey

Very good vegan burger and beers

This brewery offers only one vegan option: the veggie burger which is made vegan when you order at the counter. The staff is knowledgeable about veganism (one waitress is vegan) and will help you. The vegan burger consists of a tempeh steak, avocado, tomato and germinated seeds. It is very tasty, as well as the fries (among the best I've ever eaten). They also offer good homemade beers. Even if the choice is very limited for vegans, I recommend this place!

Pros: good vegan burger and fries, friendly and helpful staff, good beers

Cons: not 100% vegan, only one vegan option
