Location, Atmosphere, Service, And Food

We decided to visit the Mint Tea during the car drag parade and the choice was perfect. The setting for this special place is ideal, above the street, away from the noise of the day. The atmosphere of this place is special, seating on the veranda, patio, or inside, the food choices are based on the season, vegan and veggie included. The service was friendly and patient, locally brewed beers, wines include organic, desserts were also very good. We enjoyed our visit completely.

A pleasant discovery!

In our recent attempts to eat more healthy, we were in search of a vegetarian friendly restaurant. We found Mint Tea via a Google search. On Main Street, situated in an older home renovated with small table seating throughout the upstair rooms, it was amazingly decorated with plenty of visual interest. Sitting by the windows, we had a lovely view of the street below, adding to the ambiance. We felt very comfortable from the moment we walked through the front door. The staff was exceptionally friendly, but not overly so. They were balanced and sincere. Gentle in their approach, we never felt rushed from beginning to end. We found our server to be very knowledgable and happily and patiently explained the items we were unfamiliar with. It made the experience far less intimidating and we were looking forward to the food arriving. Which arrived in efficient time, but again, we never felt rushed to finish our appetizers before the main dishes came. The presentation of the food we chose was striking and impressive. The fruit and vegetables were fresh and the flavors clean, crisp and flavorful. The soup was hardy and the meal we shared was a tastebud adventure! From vegetables! Who Knew!?! The portion sizes were appropriate and when we left we felt satisfied. So if you are looking for a place that is intimate, inviting and warm, with delicious food and perfect service, you will LOVE Mint Tea on Main Street, Vancouver.

Pros: excellent food, healthy cuisine, good value

Cons: the table rocked
