Michael Anthony’s Cucina was beyond all of our expectations! My husband and are vegan (almost 15 years) and have had experiences from “ Here is a lettuce leaf and some carrots with vinegar and your pasta dish has some ketchup on it. That’ll be $100”. all the way to restaurants in places like Washington DC and San Diego, where we were blown away. At Michael Anthony, we were met by Ian Mason, who proceeded to explain to us exactly what we could expect and tell us how glad he was to be taking care of vegans. He put so much time and thought into what we liked. We felt like the only people in the restaurant! Our server, Susanna was also amazing and very attentive.
The three course meal that the chef prepared for us was nothing short of spectacular.
Everything about this experience was top-notch from the appetizers to the pasta course all the way through the main dish of grilled eggplant with a Chanterelle risotto (the chef had gone out, foraging for the mushrooms that morning!!) … Which was out of this world!!! through the obviously homemade sorbet, this restaurant is at the top of my list of experiences as a vegan. We will definitely be back anytime we are in this so I can put it the area.
