Great Food But Not Covid Safe - Edit
Great vegan Mexican food. The tacos and burritos are excellent. The food is not the heavy traditional Sonoran style. We stopped by the first weekend of June. They are not seating people inside. When you arrive you go a couple of feet inside. The person taking your order is less then two feet from you and not wearing a face mask. Some of the customers are not wearing face masks. If the order taker becomes infected by a customer they then will spread it to other customers. We look forward to visiting again at the end of the pandemic because their food gets better every time we go. We have changed our stars from five stars.

A good place to eat - Edit
This place a pretty decent place I enjoyed my food here and my boyfriend and his brother enjoyed it also. Both being meat-eaters. The boy is 10 years old and is writing a review as we speak. He loved it the most and said he would choose it over a actual carne asada taco. I think the food is decent with competitive pricing. The ambience isn’t very much there. But I do enjoy it relatively

Not Great. - Edit
I was super excited to find a vegan restaurant that also used Uber eats. I ordered a "Karne Asada burrito". It looked promising, but once I bit into it all I tasted was soy sauce. The "karne" had no Mexican flavor. It tasted like it had been marinated in straight soy sauce for a week. The rice, beans and tortilla that were in the burroito were probably good, but I couldn't get past the strong soy taste.I was disappointed to have wasted $8 for my dinner to be inedible.

Vegan Mexican food - Edit
This site does not allow me to give ONE STAR ⭐️.....just like every other trendy “vegan” restaurant. Soy, soy and soy. Lol. Very expensive as well. The nachos were ok but chips would have been better baked. Jackfruit tacos had a soft and weird texture to them and flavor was salty, like taco shop salty. The empanada was pretty bad, tasted like follow your heart and corn... and a sort of doughy unsettling uncooked flavor. I’m not trying to be harsh, just providing my experience. I won’t be going back.😕

My self and two omnivorous friends were wowed by our tacos and burritos. - Edit
I chose three tacos and my friends had the carne Asada burritos. Each taco had a unique flavor twist, the carne asada being my favorite. The taco al Pastor was too hot for me but the pineapple balanced the heat with a bit of sweetness. The potato taco was an unexpected treat with smashed potatoes topped with a variety of veggies. Our hibiscus tea was the perfect blend of refreshing tea and subtle sweetness. I would definitely eat here often but hope the Lovely owners can find a way to bring the food out a little quicker, even though the flavors were well worth the wait and the food displayed attentive attention to presentation.

Love! - Edit
This place strikes me as being a legit taqueria. I loved it! Simple menu of tacos, burritos, tortas, empanadas, and nachos. Super reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is great. I got the soyrizo burrito and horchata. I will definitely be back. It is order at the counter and does not serve alcohol.

Great menu, delicious but can be pricey. - Edit
My significant other really loves this place and their food (: They have a good sized menu to choose from and their food is delicious. There’s no parking lot, just spaces as it’s downtown Glendale.

I do cooking shows for a large blender company this is the best Mexican ever! - Edit
Best Mexican I’ve ever had AND it’s vegan !!! Friendly service great food not super oily. The flavors are super. I did one of each taco she makes they all were very unique in flavors and texture. Incredible cashew nacho cheese on her nachos too. i can’t believe it’s cashews. I’ve tried really hard to have the Flavor of her cheese in my cooking and I’ve never been able to make mine even remotely as good as hers and I do cooking shows !!! I want to take classes from her. She really has put her heart and soul in her food and it’s healthy comfort food. I’ve been to places that call themselves vegan and wish i had never eaten it. This is not that type of place it’s really wonderful.

My husband and I have recently started being vegan. He is also Gluten Free, which can make finding restaurants for us difficult. This place is ideal for both of us. Everything is vegan and they have a good GF selection. The food was amazing, we will be back!!!

¡Qué delicioso! - Edit
Mi Vegana Madre was worth staying an extra day in town, so I could return to have another meal!
Read moreThe owners were there and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with them—I believe I understood that she’s traveled to Mexico to study vegan baking, and he’s involved with the local community, increasing awareness of the benefits of vegan living. It was reassuring to have good people “behind” the delicious food I enjoyed!
I started with a very refreshing Aqua Fresca, then inhaled simple nachos that were done right and one of 2 empanadas I had ordered. The “leftover” was even better, hot, when I went back to order a new one, the next day, with a burrito that was hearty. The photo I took was intentionally messy, to better illustrate the yummy goodness inside. It was exactly right, and need not have been such a scene.😄
Hopefully the community will be strong supporters of this awesome dining option, and traveling Happy Cow people will make the small effort to find THIS place when in the area. Good people, great food!

Not too good unfortunately - Edit
I walked into this small start up dinette style setting. The majority of the tables are outdoor folding tables and aluminum chairs. The menu is written on a chalk board in front of the makeshift register table. I stood in front for about 6 minutes and called to the people chatting in the back twice before someone noticed I was there. I ordered the carbs asada taco - which I was told was the best seller and the nachos. The taco was flavorful and would be best suited for new vegans who are still looking for “meat” like substitutes. The nachos ... well I feel like I paid $5 for highly processed tortilla chips with a little bit of ground tofu and some pineapple. Definitely not what I was expecting. The food is okay but I wouldn’t ever drive out of my way again to come here.

My favorite cuisine done vegan. The al pastor and carne asada are so good you don't even realize it's not meat you're eating. I wish they had a restaurant.

Comida Mexicana y Vegana!! - Edit
¡¡Comida Mexicana y toda vegana también!! ¡Que raro y fantástica! Mi Vegana Madre is a vegan food truck that dishes out delicious, fresh, homemade tacos, burritos, and sometimes even tamales at events throughout the PHX area.
Read moreThe best thing about their tacos, aside from them being vegan, are the exciting flavors! Mole, Al pastor, carne asada, and more, including my favorite -the Taco Xiqueño, which is made from Hibiscus flowers. The prices are very reasonable so we usually get one of everything.
They owners are very friendly and open to answering any questions that you may have.
Mi Vegana Madre can typically be found at varying farmers markets around the valley, like the Phoenix Public Market and the Uptown Farmer's Market. Check their website and/or follow their social media to stalk them; I do!
Pros: all vegan Mexicana cuisine, reasonable prices, friendly service
