Beste Gastro Erfahrung in meinem Leben! - Edit

Lot of veggie options - Edit
We came here based on the photos from HappyCow, which pictured some sort of vegan meat. Firstly, you really need to ask for veggie menu. We ordered veggie souvlaki and gyros. But they brought us halloumi based dishes instead of veggie meat. So we ate it, but most of us was really dissapointed because we expected the meat, literally the reason we came here. We vould have same food elsewhere. The service wasn't also particularly pleasant. If you really want plant based dish, make sure to discuss it with them first.

Cons: Halloumi instead of vegan meat, Brought big water when we didn't specify

Sweet little taverna in the old town - Edit
The staff was very welcoming and had a separate menu listing vegan an vegetarian options. The prices were good considering the location and the food tasted nice as well. The staff was attentive to our needs, as one of the waiters brought us yogurt sauce by accident and another waiter noticed and fixed it without us mentioning. We came back to this lovely place during our stay.

Cons: Not too many vegan options

Experience real greek food - Edit
Theres a vegetarian Menu with only few vegan options. But if you talk to the owner he‘ll take the time to give you advice on which foods can be made vegan: Pita bread, Olives, Dolmades, Pitaroudia, garlic mushrooms, eggplant salad, stuffed vegetable, vegan Burger, they even offer a vegan Mousaka.

👍🏻 - Edit
Super friendly staff explaining everything that can be made vegan. We ate the Gyros with hummus instead of Tsatsiki.

Best host and best vegan joint - Edit
We had the pleasure to eat at this Greek tavern, they have a vegan menu that you need to ask for. We saw it because they had VEGAN stickers at the front. It’s a small establishment and the host was extremely family friendly. The food was delicious. We had Dolmades, greek salad, roasted mushrooms in garlic sauce, stuffed bell pepper with rice, and hummus / eggplant for dips and some roasted veggies. I can’t stress enough how the host/owner made the experience so much unforgettable. He was a true passionate restaurant owner. And there was old tradition Greek music all along. Definitely the best spot to eat, vegan or non vegan.

Very very good Vegan options - Edit
They have a rather extensive vegetarian menu card but are extremely accommodating towards vegans - and around 80% of the vegetarian options could be made vegan. We got 6 difference dishes and all were very good with fresh ingredients and freshly cooked. No frozen food here. Would give a 5 star review if possible

Good for vegetarians, not vegans - Edit
Multiple vegetarian options, but only few vegan ones. The vegan options were vegetarian food, but without cheese or tzatiki. I ordered stuffed vegetables (the only vegan item on main menu, according to the owner), so I had fries and one stuffed bell pepper and one stuffed tomato.
Read moreStuffing was only rice and spices, and the rice was al dente. Wait time was approx. 45 minutes, but we were there during rush so it's understandable.
There was a young waiter who was very kind and funny, so all plusses to him.
I wouldn't recommend this establishment if you are vegan, but for vegetarians I definetly would opt here since there were so many vegetarian options.

Wonderful greek food with a caring passionate owner - Edit
This would have 5 stars if it wasn’t for happy cows policy to only offer that to vegan/veggie restaurants.
Read moreWe stumbled upon the place and noticed the vegan available sign and browsed the menus. The owner the. Talked us through what they could offer. It was clear he understood exactly what vegan food was and how to tailor the food. We opted for souvlaki, gyro with some homemade dolmades pitta and grilled veggies. All was absolutely delicious especially the dolmades.
Talking to the owner his passion to offer options to all was incredible.
Highly recommended this place and will be back before our time in Rhodes is out!

Hi, I went to the same restaurant (you gave a great impression) and went through the vegan menu with the personnel and chef. I learned that the only main menu item that was completely vegan was stuffed vegetables. I specifically asked for the gyros and they said it's not possible to make vegan (but vegetarian is okay). There was no plant-based protein or milk-alternatives. This obviously left me wondering since I saw your recent review and there is a possibility they had some vegan stuff while you where there but it is also possible that you might have eaten vegetarian food.
