Stunning place and good food - Edit
When you step into Meatless District, and become part of their stunning interior, you immediately feel stylish. I’ve been here a couple of times and from day one the Caesar Salad has never let me down, it is delicious and creative! I’ve tried other dishes as well, have to admit I do agree with some of the reviews that some dishes could use a ‘spice up’. When I talked to one of the chefs about it, he explained that MD has taken it easy with their spices on request of guests in the past. I really enjoy the entire experience at Meatless District from amazing decor to friendly staff to beautifully presented food, like art pieces you almost don’t want to eat :)

Worst Vegan Meal Ever Eaten - Edit
I've eaten my share of crappy meals, but this place was the worst. The menu is basically burgers and salads. I got the "Spicy Chicken Sand-which" and it was downright disgusting. I've eaten a lot of seitan and fake meats and the texture and flavor was very off. They did give me a free dessert since I didn't eat my meal, it wasn't bad, but not the best I've had. I would agree that this is a pretentious place with rude customers. I came in and asked for a table, and was told to take a seat while one was cleaned. While I waited two couples came in and just sat down at dirty tables. The waitresses came right over and cleared their tables and took their orders before I got a table, wtf? I don't know why I cant give this 1 star, because it doesn't deserve two, vegan menu or not.

I was blown away by this place! Great selection of beer and their menu is amazing. I wish I had time to try everything. If you like soup you HAVE to try their artichoke soup! By far the best soup I’ve had in my entire life. The staff are nice and there is a great atmosphere. If you have been to Vancouver, this place is very similar to MeeT! Very large potions, refreshing to see a restaurant charging an accurate amount of money for portion size.

My sister and I ate here when we had something to celebrate, since this place is quite expensive. The service is really good, comparable to a more fancy dining somewhere else in the city.
Read moreThe food that we ordered was some kind of noodlebowl and a burger. The food was good, but didn't blow us of our feet. And since it is a little more on the pricier side, you'd expect flavour explosions, so it left us slightly unsatisfied.

It's nice that this place is fully vegan. However, despite good service and a nice decoration. I cannot describe it as amazing. Along with my boyfriend, we ordered a starter and a main each and only two were genuinely good, the noodle 'chicken' starter, and the tagliatelle main course which was pretty good but not amazing. The lax starter and jackfruit main are not particularly well made. I imagine that many of their dishes are similar to that. Therefore, I would recommend sticking to the two good ones I've mentioned if you go only once. It's a shame as I really wanted to like this place more.

Finally a real vegan place. 3 meals on the diner card. Changes often. It’s delicious. Reservation required. Although walking in around 1800 can work for a quick diner until 1930. Check it out. These meals are very special. Both kitchen and staff are great. Nice atmosphere. Very hip also.

We came here with non vegan friends and they were really impressed with the burgers and the cool and smart decor of the restaurant. There is a great ambience inside and it's wonderful that Amsterdam has this special addition to its veggie scene which is finally starting to blossom.

New Favorite Restaurant—All Vegan - Edit
My spouse and I cannot believe we had not eater at MD before. However, now that we have discovered it, it could easily be our favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. The food is out of this world and it is all vegan. We decided to do both breakfast and lunch there, being that we arrived a little after 11:00 am and breakfast ends at 12:00 and lunch begins. For breakfast we had scrumptious vegan pancakes and one of the best vegan grilled cheese sandwiches ever. For the lunch portion, a vegan chicken Caesar salad (the best I have ever had) and also the MD Burger. They serve a vegan Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the side of the sandwich and on top of the salad that is to die for. A vegan I know says she and her friends eat there about twice a week. Now I know why. It is not to be missed. Our server, Charlotte, was so wonderful and friendly, which made the entire experience even more terrific.

I stopped in for lunch and got the Summer Smash Sandwich and Fried Cauliflower with a beer on tap. Extremely friendly staff and excellent fully vegan menu. Also a great place to hang out and have a coffee. Relaxing atmosphere.

The staff were very lovely and the deco was quite modern and minimal- all very chilled. The starter options were good, better than the mains in my opinion. We had three courses and the food was good but really, far too expensive for what it was.

My husband and I came stay to MD as soon we got off the plane. We both had the cheese burger with chips and we were amazed! The burger was full of flavour and the chips were thick, full and crispy. We went back the night after but was too late and the kitchen had closed. We are visiting Amsterdam in two weeks and it's going to be our first of many visits again! We are hoping they do take out!

We went for dinner on a saturday, luckily we had enough warm clothes to sit outside since we didn't make a reservation beforehand! The staff was very helpfull and the food was amazing! We ordered the Amsterdam Fried Cauliflower as a starter to share, the Ceasar salad as a main and the Summer bowl! My boyfriend isn't vegan, but he claimed that it was the best Ceasar salad he had ever had!

Perfectly wonderful place! We went for the Cauliflower Steak and Sunshine bowl, which were both saturated with beautiful and surprising flavours. Very friendly staff, pleasant interior and overall great service! We had a delightful experience at the Meatless District and recommend every vegan (and glutenfree!) food-lover to pay a visit.

I went there for lunch, no reservation. I ordered the MD Burger with cheese, which is maybe a bit expensive but really delicious. The chocolate Brownie with Peanutbutter-cream was to die for! I will dream about it for the rest of my life 😂

I was there very early (16:45) and they were not serving the full menu yet, just snacks (16:00-18:00 is snacks and dinner starts at 18:00) . Everything was very good but also pretty pricing and the service was bad. We sat outside and the seating was very uncomfortable. Most tables were also already reserved and we had to go inside multiple times to get service. If you don't come here while in Amsterdam then it's not a big deal.
