Worth the walk out of the centre - Edit
My friend and I got ourselves some dirty fries each and they were banging! Good filling portions with lots of toppings.

Best vegan meal in Edinburgh - Edit
We came through to Edinburgh, from Glasgow, just to try out this place - having come across their Instagram. It was 100% worth the journey.

Absolutely faltless on all fronts and we both agreed it was some of the finest vegan food we’ve ever had. For me, the star of the show was actually the buffalo chicken dirty fries - highly recommend.
The pub itself is really really nice so Rabbit Food have chosen a lovely location to serve their food in. Drinks were reasonably priced and all really tasty - I had a few fantastic cocktails.
Only slight slight dampener was that the football was on and someone requested the music be put off so that the TV sounds could be put on. When it was quieter in there and the TV watchers were the majority, I had no problem. Though as it got busier I felt that more people were not there for the football (family groups and couples in for food) and that the atmosphere would have been improved if they had either both sounds on or asked the football watchers if they could put the music back on. Equally, I didn’t ask for the music to go back on so it’s not a major qualm!
Really looking forward to returning here. Thanks for the amazing food!

Well, hello, gorgeous! I believe this burger was inspired by Elvis. He had a song called "Blue Suede Shoes." Elvis' favorite sandwich was peanut butter, banana and bacon. No wonder why the king enjoyed this combination of flavors. I wouldn't normally order this type of burger, but I'm glad I took a chance. It was delicious and fun to eat!
Bacon - smelt and tasted like the real thing, as I remember it!
Burger - cooked well and juicy! Just as a burger, even vegan, should be!
Peanut butter & Banana - there was a good amount of both, and it didn't overpower the rest of the burger.
Bun - soft and a great canvas for the ingredients to shine.
My only negative thought was that I wish it had more of the house sauce. The peanut butter was great, but it ate a little thick and made it a pinch dry. The house sauce on the side would have been great to dip the burger.
*BUFFALO CHICK'N DIRTY FRIES- cheese sauce, house slaw, crispy chick'n in buffalo sauce, chives.
I wasn't expecting such a large portion! That wasn't a problem though, I literally ate everything. These fries had a great combination of flavors and sauces. They were fresh and crunchy and came out piping hot. Also, the buffalo sauce wasn't overwhelmingly spicy.

Understand if there tables are reserved etc but even being offered takeaway food would have been nice.
After hearing numerous good reviews I was hoping for some better service.

We had the Parma burger, Mac and cheese, buffalo fries and the rabbit burger. Everything was unbelievable but the Mac and cheese and the burger Pattie with vegan haggis was really stand out. Lovely vibe to the venue, we loved that you were served by the chefs! Highly recommend and we will be returning on our next trip!

Wow - what a find! An excellent friendly pub with a great atmosphere and a rocktastic jukebox... and then there's the food... the chefs (Rabbit Food) brought us a Pullin' Porkies Burger and Buffalo Chick'n Dirty Fries. Everything was fantastic - yes it was naughty food - but it wasn't heavy or greasy, we just felt happily full afterwards. Top marks!

Rabbit Food have an excellent menu with burgers, macaroni "cheese" and dirty fries. I had the dirty fries with macaroni and buckfast pulled jackfruit and it was amazing.

New favourite burger in Edinburgh - Edit
Went with the vegan meetup group and everyone loved there food. I got the return of the mac special with deep fried mac and cheese and it was incredible. Tried the milkshake for dessert which could be thicker in my opinion. That's my only criticism though. Mesdows tap is a lovely location and a great fit for Rabbit Food I think.

Tasty burgers but my main issue here is the price. £14 for a burger (and £2 extra to upgrade to a hot dog) and not massive portion of fries.
