Vegan - Edit

Good food but it can improve - Edit
I had the curry, even though it was very nice to see quite some vegan options the plate was not great. Still I would return.

Good vegan selection - Edit
They have a separate vegan section on the menu, which goes a long way in Wernigerode. The food tasted ok - but there is not so much choice so it’s fine to go there once or twice during your dry.
Read moreOne of the cons is that you can’t have a started without a main which is a bit strange… but the gave me a bigger portion and then it was ok
Pros: Separate vegan menu , Big-ish selection
Cons: Tastes ok , Pricy

Tasty and knowledgeable about veganism - Edit
We discovered Marktblick by coincidence, passing by and reading their large sign: vegan & vegetarian. They offer e separate section of vegan dishes on the menu and indicate here and there which dishes can be made vegan as well. Additionally, they are very willing to think along, we saw the seasonal menu with local mushrooms which didn't have a vegan option but they made a vegan variant, especially for us. Also the snack on the house that came with the drinks, they kindly adapted, and it tasty very nice. They clearly know what veganism is and that was reassuring after less pleasant experiences.
Read moreWe enjoyed the vegan coconut soup a lot, it was very tasty. The salad was okay and one of the more tasty ones we had in the area but not that special. For the main dishes we had the noodle dish from the vegan section of the menu, and they created a pasta dish with the local mushrooms (pfifferlingen). Both were tasty and clearly freshly prepared.
The service was friendly, even though it was one person managing the whole terrace and a few tables indoors. But all in all, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The scenery from the terrace is very typical with the view of the market square.
Pros: Separate vegan section on menu, Allergies indicated on menu
