Just OK

I've been to this place a few times as I attend the university nearby. It is a bit hit and miss here - sometimes they'll have a few dishes to choose from but there often isn't that much on display. The veggie-sausages are really tasty. Other than that, it's really just ok - nothing memorable. It's a local joint with cheap prices, and not in a particularly busy area. Although service has always been friendly enough, if they were to step it up a bit, perhaps they'd get a little more custom. I'd eat here again, but that's only because it's convenient, I wouldn't really go out of my way to pay a return visit.

Friendly, Cheap, lots of choices

I went there yesterday to get food for my train trip. And the person who prepared it was very friendly. The food was also really low price and tasted really good. 5 stars and I would go there again when I visit Ramkhamhaeng again. ;) :)
Ah and one thing I would like to add. I was impressed by all the choices of dishes. ^^

Hasip hasip

I go to the university nearby and often popped in to this place in the beginning. It's true that they sometimes produce very tasty food, just not often enough to make it a reliable lunchtime venue IMO. The pastries are delicious and the sausages are nice, but you take your chances on whether they have any.
You do get used to cold and warm food being left uncovered in Thailand, but familiarity doesn't make it any more appealing.
If they could be consistent then I'd go there every day, but there are other local and reliable places that get my hurried one hours worth of lunchtime business.
I am not an overweight man by a long shot (undernourished vegan), but a flimsy plastic 'chair' collapsed under me one day. But it was OK, they said it didn't matter and didn't charge me. They even let me use another chair.
I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because I don't speak Thai, and assumed that I was offered a limited menu because of the language barrier. But my Thai friends didn't get served anything different from me when I took them.
If I seem harsh it's because I'm lazy and a little dissapointed. If they could only up-the-ante a bit it would be an ideal local lunch venue for me.
My apologies to the previous post for contradicting them so emphatically, I am glad that you find it aroi.

Pros: Location to uni, cheapish, free water

Cons: erratic quality, hygene

Local restaurant, local prices

First of all, I took the address from Happy cow with me and with the help of some locals to find the correct street I located the listed street address directly across from Tayio language school. This is not the correct address, but if you go a little further down the alley you will see a big tree (the only one on the alley) with a large yellow sign with red letters. It states in Chinese, Thai and English "Vegetarian food".

The food is simple, but quite tasty. for 25 bhat you can choose 3 vegetable choices to go with (pink)rice. They also serve fresh noodle soup, and Som Tom (green papaya salad). The Salad is great, but if you don't like it spicy be sure to let them know (although if you don't speak thai, this might involve some sign language as the ladies who work there don't speak english).

They also have some veg sausages and fried vegetable stuffed pastries (although not available daily).

This place is around the corner from where I live so I eat there frequently.

All in all it's a great place, very cheap, and my husband (who is a huge eater) and I can eat there for 100 bhat and both feel quite satisfied with taste and quantity!

Pros: cheap, tasty, healthy

Cons: food served cold (noodle soup is hot), no english
